We stayed at the Ariston Hotel last week and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The room was huge; with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and en suite. The views from the balcony were absolutely breath-taking. The hotel staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Our room was decorated with rose petals and had a bottle of champagne for us on... More

Booked into Neptun but upgraded to Ariston. Our luggage was taken to our spacious room on the 2nd floor with a beautiful sea view. And what a view it was.. watching the cruise ships arriving and departing along with all the everyday little boats etc. The room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. As the corridors and rooms are carpeted... More

We arrived at Ariston as the first destination of our honeymoon. We booked a year in advance and requested a 3rd floor room with a romantic sea side view. We were told this was booked. We arrived and had a garden level room facing a grove of trees. Granted, they did have a nice set up in our room with... More

Had a very good holiday with very nice staff and pretty good food remembering that it was a buffet! Also note the Ariston hotel is part of neptune group where the Neptune hotel is ptractically the same hotel and uses the same facilities!

As soon as we arrived it was clear that we had been fooled. I would rate this hotel as a strong 3* star possibly, but it is nowhere near five star quality! The rooms are basic, with terrible lighting. We paid extra for a sea view but were placed on the first floor with plants obstructing the view. The breakfast... More

We stayed here for 10 days and compared with other hotels, I don't think it should be awarded 5 stars. Felt more like a 4 stars. We had huge, clean, quiet room with quite a big balcony. There were lots of sun beds, parasols and beach towels. Nice private rocky beach area with easy sea access. Preferred this to the... More

Arrived with not much of a welcome from the reception staff. Only provided with an explanation of where the room is and what time breakfast runs. Nothing about the restaurants and themed nights etc. Checked into room and we had no towels and the carpet near the balcony was soaked (due to rain). We reported both issues and received no... More

The location by the sea in Lapad is the only reason to book this hotel, as it is slightly overpriced. It is classed as a five-star hotel, but we found it to be closer to three stars. The pool area and sea are of course fabulous! The breakfast restaurant (Mediterranean) is a disappointment, because they don't serve proper coffee, only... More

I booked on-line and when it came to check-in we had been moved to the Royal Palm. I've got no way of telling if that was an up-grade or not but suffice to say that the rooms were fine, location was fine (yes it was an easy bus trip into Dubrovnik - buses depart a few hundred mtrs from hotel... This is a good hotel but far from the 5* rating it claims, probably caused by the Importanne 3 hotel resort confusion.... The hotel is located 10/15min bus journey (Bus 6) from the old city of Dubrovnik on the Lapad peninsula right on the rocks, the nearest beach is 10min walk to Lapad centre which has some decent restaurants and...
