Originally our plans were for only one night but since we had pre-payed it forced us to stay 2 nights. Had we known we were staying 2 nights , our preference would have been to stay nearer the Old Town. We also had booked for a non-sea view which can be depressing if staying for longer - you only see... More

We arrived early and had to wait around for ages. As you have no swipe card and the bar had no change we were left to sit around. This is no way a five star hotel. It is not bad, very good in fact but not five star. The staff try hard but just do not have the training or... More

We arrived a little early and were asked to take a seat. We had to remnid the reception staff that were still waiting for our rooms after over half an hour wait..... they were not particularly friendly. The rooms were really nice quality and the view of the Riviera were spectacular. The main issue for us having booked half board,... More

Booked in to Neptun - upgraded to Ariston. One word - excellent. Staff very friendly, views to Adriatic superb. Easy bus in to Dubrovnik. Was a great holiday in a lovely hotel. Note - although 5 star it is not equivalent of North British in Edinburgh....think a good 4 star in UK.

Hotel Ariston is a nice hotel in a good location with friendly staff and wonderful views. It's worth noting however that it's also one of five hotels that make up the Importanne resort. When we first arrived we were 'upgraded' to the sister hotel, Royal Princess however what we were actually shown to was a room in the attached Royal... More

We were originally booked into the Neptun next door but given a triple room in the Ariston. We had amazing sea views with a decent sized balcony. All staff were really friendly, reception were polite and efficient, our bags were taken to our room and the housekeeper was outstanding. The buffet breakfast was varied and not too busy. The staff brought gluten free bread... Beautiful sea views, don't get fobbed off with a room without a view if you've booked one! Staff of "On the Rocks" need lessons in customer interaction it doesn't harm anyone to be pleasant. As its a resort too many people try to cram into small bathing areas very overcrowded. Komin restaurant nearby is lovely and traditional

We enjoyed our 5 nights at the Ariston. Good sized rooms-we had a sea view with balcony-the manageress was helpful and agreed to us moving to a room where there were no obstructions to the view. Breakfasts were very good and the general facilities fine. 2 or 3 pools plus access to the sea for bathing. Nice setting away from... More

This hotel was our last stop on our 3 week holiday. Most of the hotels we had stayed at during our holiday had been 4-star hotels and they had all been very nice, so I had quite high expectations for this one as well as it claims to be a 5-star hotel. Of course I understand that the star ratings... More

Really lovely hotel, beach bar area fantastic.... Only point we would make is the pool in The spa of The Royal Princess (was upgraded from Ariston) was full of kids with balls, lilo's etc, not very relaxing for a spa. Food in The Princess A La Carte was fantastic, staff very helpful and polite.
