My AAA travel agent booked me at the Hotel Ariston in Dubrovnik (part of the Importanne Resort complex). While I was generally pleased with the hotel, the location was a little on the far side from the Old Town -- definitely NOT walking distance, and a 15 to 20 minute city bus ride or 5 to 10 minute cab ride.... more

I booked the Ariston Hotel through Croatia Tours, Dublin. On arrival,we were upgraded to the Importanne Resort Suites which is part of the Hotel Group. The suite was very comfortable and clean. It consisted of bedroom ensuite, living room with kitchenette and an extra bathroom. The staff on the whole were extremely helpful and professional. The only problem was the... more

We had booked to stay at the hotel neptun, which is part of the importanne resort. When we checked in we were upgraded to the hotel Ariston. Both hotels share all the same ammenities but the Ariston rooms are more up to date. Our room was immaculate and spacious, all items were new and in good working order. There was... more

The Ariston is a 4 star hotel that is part of the Importanne Resort complex that is made up of a 3 star hotel, 4 star hotel and a luxury apartment block. Most of the central facilities (Bar, pool, restaurants, reception) are shared between the three units. It is located in Babin Kuk which is close to Lapad on the... more

We're just back from spending a week in the Ariston. We'd initially reserved a room in the Neptun but when we arrived the lady in reception upgraded us to the Ariston when we asked about a sea view. She even showed us two rooms and let us decide which one we wanted. The view from our room was spectacular. All... more

We stayed in three other hotels whilst in Croatia and did not experience any problems with paying the bill until we stayed at Importanne Resort/Hotel Ariston/ Hotel Neptun. We booked direct with the sales department and had been given a price per night of 180 Euro/122GBP but not a price in Kuna. When we were checking out we were overcharged... more

The Hotel Ariston is part of the Importanne Resort, and my reservation was for the Hotel Neptun. Due to a mechanical problem in the Neptun I was upgraded to the Artiston, but I lost the ocean-view I had reserved. I was quite disappointed about this (despite the upgrade - I'd rather have the view), and although nothing could be done... more

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May. We booked this hotel as a stop over near the airport before beginning the rest of our holiday in Montenegro, based on the cheap price. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a newly decorated large room, with a large bathroom and balcony with beautiful sea views. Definitely 4*. As we... more

We stayed at the Ariston Hotel for 4 days in April and were very disappointed. We had booked a deluxe room with balcony and a sea view and looked forward to looking out onto the blue Adriatic sea. However, we were given a room on the ground floor, (floor 10), and found all we could see from out balcony were... more
