Stayed here for 4 nights. First, the good. Large room, close to city bus stop, close to beach, and good breakfast. Now for the not so good. The aircon is "kaput" to quote maintenance. The shower is challenging, but has plenty of good hot water. The room was last freshened about 20 years ago. For this price range, it's probably... More

We have just returned from a most enjoyable 11 night break at the Uvala. Our large room was on the top floor with two balconies and a wonderful view. The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom adequate although getting into the high sided bath for a shower was a bit of a challenge. There was a fridge and a... More

We really enjoyed our week at uvala. The staff are very helpful and the food was good. Found the quiet location ideal for us. The only thing that would make this hotel a bit more four star is a kettle in the room and and occasional evening entertainment, however it is nice to walk to the local bars by the seafront.... More

Makes up for the otherwise a bit tired hotel. The restaurant is also to enjoy, with very helpful waitresses. Decent rooms with basic amenities, made every day. Good beds, silent premises. We stayed 2 days/ 2 nights and had no trouble with the equipment. They seem to have large groups of tourists some days, but the individuals are served in... More

Very warm welcome, comfortable room which was serviced daily. Good food and staff very helpful. Regular bus to old town. Personally I would have liked wifi and a kettle in the room. Otherwise a lovely week at the Uvala.

Just returned from our holiday in Dubrovnik staying at the Uvala. The hotel is in a lovely position with glorious views over the bay (though not much sun in September on that side of the bay). The rooms are a decent size, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms have been modernised. The staff are all great, helpful and friendly and... More

Uvala hotel faces a stunning bay with houses nestled into the hillside. The UVALA is a first class place to stay. A short bus ride away from the old walled town. THE FOOD - is excellent, and is very acceptable to any Brit. The rooms are kept immaculate and are very modern with a fridge, safe, air con. and balcony.... More

The hotel is 51 bedrooms only ,some are small but all en suite. Get the top floor if you can the view is worth while and the size good. The hotel staff are very friendly and are delighted if you try and speak Croatian. The food is buffet and it whilst it will fill the hungry and is very edible... More

This hotel was offered as part of a disappointing package provided by Newmarket Holidays Good points - very well located in Lapad Bay within easy reach of small pebbly beach; good restaurants and bars and lovely coastal walk. Dubrovnik old town is a 10 minute bus ride away. The restaurant manager and her staff are top class - probably deserve... More
