Pretty hotel with a nice outside eating area overlooking a garden and pedestrian street. We chose this this because of the elegant setting, however, the food was somewhat disappointing and the service was not special. more

Outside very pleasant pink villa conveniently situated in suburb of Lapad for taking no 6 bus into old town. We had to carry our cases up 60 steps to 3rd floor despite having booked through Inntravel many months earlier. There is no lift. Room 31 which we were told was ours was tiny and very dark although had a hugh... more

Nice appearance from the outside but the interior is a bit dated. Functional staff lacking warmth or friendliness. The restaurant attached to the hotel is a franchise and not an integral part of the hotel - food good in the restaurant but service poor. Good location on Lapad Penninsula but 10 minutes from old town by taxi. On pedestrian street... more

Hotel staff, in particular a female receptionist were rude and unhelpful. Chamber staff were very noisy early in the morning. Room was very noisy, largely due to the open corridors leading to the wide stairwell above reception. Breakfast was absolutely terrible; poor choice (e.g. no fresh pastries) & what there was was very poor in quality (coffee was disgusting); service... more

From the street the hotel looks beautiful but rooms are bit dark and old. There is great garden around the hotel and only short distance to the shore. Lapad area is very nice and you can find many nice restaurants nearby. Biggest problem in the hotel was that cleaning ladies started talking on the hall very early. It was almost... more

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. The room was fine but we kept having to ask for more towels (they only gave us one) and the staff was not as friendly as they could have been (and were less helpful than people at other hotels we used). The breakfast was TERRIBLE and is to be avoided at... more

My husband and I spent our last night in Dubrovnik at the Hotel Zagreb for a treat as it looked so lovely from the outside. However, we were quite disappointed as the staff were really quite rude - not at all welcoming, and the breakfast was rubbish. The room was quite basic and really did not reflect the quality of... more

Hotel Zagreb is nicely located in Lapad, a 10 minute bus ride from the Old City. A 5 minute walk past many restaurants puts you on a rock beach. The hotel has been recently redone, and the room decor shows this. Our room was of decent size by European standards. However, the shower was tiny. It was about 2 feet... more

Building is great (old venitian style villa), in the green scenery of Lapad quarter, and if you follow the pedestrians alley in front of the hotel, you'll find the beach. Room was nice, with space, clean. Breakfast was good, on the terrace. Only drawback: the carpark is small and quickly full. But at least you can park in the area... more

Old mansion converted to a hotel on walking street. An 8 kro bus ride to the old town. Fully controllable air conditioning, safe, no ground floor rooms and no elevators. No Kleenex or washcloths, no CNN or BBC. Internet access using their lobby computers $3 for 30 minutes but there are useable wi-fi signals from the south. We had Room... more
