Located in Lapad district of Dubrovnik, Hotel Sumratin is a basic but decent budget hotel in Croatia’s most famous city. I stayed there for 3 nights in late September 2013 and chose this hotel based on relatively good reviews and low rates. Location is an advantage and a point of criticism alike. While Lapad district is quite a refined and... More

Stayed 3 nights on Exodus group holiday. Crowded tourist area away from old town was off-putting initially, but soon realised that this was a good location - 4 minutes walk from small pebble beach wih nice walks available e.g. along peninsula to the "Cave Bar" at the Hotel More; easy access to old town via frequent (crowded) public bus (no.6)... The hotel is in a very attractive location with great outdoor seating and pleasant trees to look out on to from most rooms.Yes, it is slightly run-down and dated, but that is part of its charm and quite common in Croatia. Don't let that put you off. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.The... More

For staying in Dubrovnik I recommend apartment hotels because the area has good markets for breakfast. Sumratin is worth for 2 stars. Nothing less nothing more. Great location near beach. Wifi worked ok. Partly renovated bathrooms mean that few tiles were changed and sink also. Rooms are small, balcany makes it little bit bigger. There wasn't fridge or hair dryer.... More

We booked this hotel for one night and we were really disappointed that we already had booked another hotel (for about the same money but which ended up being a lot worse) and the other hotel did not let us cancel our booking. Hotel Sumratin was really nice with a lovely and very clean room. (the superior double with park... More

Rooms are very small and the bathroom is very small. There are much better Bed and Breaksfast along Croatia which offer better facilities for a cheaper price. There were not WiFi is our room and everyday they were telling to me that it was because they had problems with internet and that maybe next day it will be solved. The... More

Sumratin is well-located in the tourist hotel area and I liked it's old, sort of run-down Eastern European charm, which may not be for everyone. The balcony was well worth the extra money, as it was really pleasant to hang out there and listen to the music at night. It also makes up for the fact that the rooms are... More

This hotel left positive impressions in me. Location is very comfortable - 5 minutes walk for beaches (the are also picturesque wild beaches), also it's near bus stop. Staff is amiable. Dinners are very tasty :)

The hotel is located right in the middle of Šetaliste kralja Zvonimira which is the main pedestrianised street in Lapad. The hotel on first appearance seems very posh. It had a nice reception area and traditional looking bar area. The rooms however are a different story. The plug sockets are literally hanging out the walls with bare wires exposed. In... More
