Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group tour. The rooms are adequate and clean, as is the bathroom. The hotel restaurant serves OK food, but lots of tour groups stay here, so get to breakfast early! Otherwise, all the good food runs out and they're slow to refill/replace what's gone. Just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Tirena with very mixed feelings. Trip Advisor recommendations are usually very good but this one was a little disappointing...but not really bad. This place was OK but surprisingly expensive for what it was. It cost us $350 for 2 nights though I guess you may be able to get it cheaper. I'm surprised in a way it gets so many good reviews. The hotel is spotless; comfortable and the staff very friendly. However the music bar is badly located under some guest rooms which meant that the music was hushed at 10pm and finished at 11pm.....much too soon for the irish who like to gather and chat / drink / sing until at least 1pm..... more

This is a great hotel for the money. More like a 4 Star. Rooms are excellent and quiet - very clean. Food is very good with lots of variety although I thought there could have been a barbeque night and a Croatian night. Sevice is excellent.
