The Pucic Palace has the great advantage of being situated in the heart of Dubrovnik's historic centre. Unfortunately, for this reason it seems the hotel sees fit to significantly overcharge for its services. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is perfectly nice and comfortable. But for the price I was paying, the room was surprisingly small (though it has to... more

The staff was very lovely and accomodating - champagne and chocolate cake were awaiting us in our 2nd floor, square facing room. This was my husband's doing, however, not the hotel's even though we informed them it was our honeymoon. The bed was quite comfortable and the ceilings high but we only got one uninterrupted night's sleep: Night one was... more

We just returned from the Pucic Palace. My husband and I stayed there for two nights. Our room was on the first floor, just above the kitchen. The first night when we returned from dinner at about 11, the room was full of fryed fish smell. We called the reception and asked for room change but they said the hotel... more

we spent our honeymoon at the Pucic and couldn't have hoped for a lovelier stay. The hotel is expensive, but, having stayed in similarly priced hotels throughout the world, it is well worth it - the rooms are delightful, the service outstanding, the breakfasts are huge and with an extensive range of food. Other reviewers on this site have bemoaned... more

I'll concede this point to several of the more negative reviews: Perhaps it is a bit overpriced. However, I just returned from a Croatia/Venice honeymoon and found the Pucic Palace, and Dubrovnik, to be the most memorable of the places we stayed. Our experience found the staff to be friendly and extremely corteous, willing to provide beach towels, eager to... more

We stayed here 3 nights in the old Grad of Dubrovnik. We got the Gundilic suite (no room numbers, names of famous Croatians, he's a writer), which was a large room bisected by a table/TV into a bed area and a sitting area. The room was great! Very tasteful decorations, a two-foot wide balcony if you wanted to use it... more

We just returned from the Pucic Palace last week. The hotel is average at best, The rooms are fine and clean. In any other city in the world this would be a 2 or 3 star hotel and would cost about $150 a night. It is by far, without question, the most overpriced and worst value for money hotel I... more

I stayed here with my husband last May 2006 and we found it to be a beautiful experience. The service was great . A nice breakfast is included. You can chose to eat it outside in the old square or on the roof deck. It was nice to sit out in the square before it got busy with fruit vendors... more

I cannot understand the negative reviews of the Pucic Palace. Our stay there was perfect: The service, the ambience, the overall experience could not have been better. The staff, in particular, were exceptionally helpful, with directions, dinner reservations, suggestions of local shops, etc. They even stored our luggage during a short break in our stay when we went off to... more

This hotel has many, many problems, starting with the attitude of the management. It has a good, although rather noisy location. THe building is beautiful. However, if you expect any type of service (or even a response) from staff, forget about it. For example, they have a nice rooftop terrace restaurant (much better than the one from the lobby extening... more
