Lovely hotel, staff wonderful. Location is beautiful, weather excellent. This all inclusive hotel is well worth the visit. Do not be put off by other silly reviews. Take flat shoes or trainers to take the island walks. You must try the Bay Restaurant.

We recently returned from a week at Kalamota and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were a little concerned after reading some of the reviews previously but I'm pleased to say we were very impressed with the hotel. The food was good with a range of different options for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we found the A la Carte restaurants good... More

We have just got back from a lovely 2 week holiday at Kalamota Island Resort. The short flight and quick transfer from the airport meant that we were on the beach by lunchtime on the day of our arrival. We had a very nice room in Villa 5, it was kept very clean and we had a partial seaview. The... More

Having just returned from a holiday we really wished we had stayed longer. The resort is beautiful and the views from the rooms are stunning over the bay. The accommodation overall is of a very high standard. On arrival from the boat hotel staff were there to meet us with cool flannels and a cocktail which was a really nice... More

If you do a little research you'll soon find out that this is a small island, no vehicles, one 'all inclusive' hotel catering for couples, small number of residents, rented accommodation. On this basis there should be no complaints about 'quiet' 'not much to do' etc. The newly refurbished hotel is excellent, right on the beach, good food from the... More

We have just got back yesterday from a 2 week stay at Kalamota Resort and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! This place exceeded our expectations and is exceptionally well run by an enthusiastic team. the boat journey from Dubrovnik was around 45 minutes and our luggage was taken care of from the boat and delivered into our room within... Having read some negative comments on the resort in July, we were apprehensive about the sewage smell issue, particularly as our tour operator was not providing adequate reassurance. However, we returned from the resort yesterday and had a brilliant stay. There is an occasional whiff but this had no negative impact on our stay at all. Service is outstanding at... More

Just home after a fantastic week, really wish we had stayed for longer. We had read some of the negative comments about people having difficulty booking a la carte and about the smell but we had absolutely no problem with either. Food in the buffet restaurant was very good as well (definitely not pre packed frozen mush as someone stated)... More

Yes - there have been many mixed reviews about this resort. This is what I think. Transfer to resort no problem. Reception from the hotel staff was excellent. Very easy check in. Room- good and very clean. Good air con. Yes there are lots of steps if you are in a higher villa. Don't book it if you can't do... More

Kalamota Island Resort, by Karisma, formerly known as Hotel Villas Kolocep, had an overall and complete renovation in 2013/2014 into an all-inclusive couples and adults (over 18) only resort. Kalamota Island Resort by Karisma is the only hotel on the island with a dense countryside of palms, orange and olive trees. At Kalamota Island Resort guests are courted with nature, assisted by surroundings that provide a full experience of a well-deserved holiday. The property and staff are intertwined to stimulate all senses, pastimes and leisure pursuits.
