We stayed late august / sept . pros - beautiful island, nice food in hotel and brilliant staff. Cons - hotel design cannot cope with poor weather, crammed bar area with poor seating and worst of all smell of sewage. Having contacted thomsons before going they assured us problem of smell had been significantly reduced however, it still stank and... More

We stayed here for a week at the time that the area suffered some of the worst weather it could had experienced for some time. In different circumstances it could have ended as the holiday from hell but we actually had a nice time for a number of reasons. Location is beautiful even when the weather is bad. Food in... More

Stayed here in October 2014. It was the last week of the season so the hotel only had about 60 people staying in it. The hotel itself is fabulous. Some reviewers complained about the smell but we barely noticed it. Maybe about once a day there was a smell that was a bit like old drains but it only lasted... More

If you want to leave the children behind and have a quality, quiet, all inclusive holiday for two, this is a great choice - there is the one hotel on the island, a shop, a post office and a couple of bars and restaurants - and that's it - other than being a beautiful island with views across to the... The most relaxing holiday I have ever had! Fantastic staff, wonderful food & a setting to die for. Our room in block 1 was ideal although we faced the rear of the hotel. Bed was really comfy & the shower was fab! Great that the fridge was re stocked daily with soft drinks & a couple of beers - nice... More

We had a brilliant week here in the summer - the island is absolutely stunning, the sunsets were beautiful (but the electric thunderstorms slightly terrifying!!) The organisation of the transfer to the hotel was seamless, the hotel was clean and had great facilities - the restocked mini bar with a range of drinks (included in AI package) was really useful... Everything about this resort and Kolocep Island was just perfect, perfect surroundings in a sleepy village only a half an hour ferry away from beautiful Dubrovnik. From the onset on the coach to the arrival at the hotel with cool mint infused cloths and cocktails to the glasses of orange juice on our departure from the island! The staff were... More

I hovered about giving the Kalamota Island Resort 5 stars as I think 4.5 would have been more accurate but felt that 4 stars definitely wouldn't have been enough. Based on my high 'score' I too cannot fathom those giving this place such a poor critique. Kolocep island itself is beautiful with stunning sunsets, charming villas and an abundance of... More

FIRST OF ALL, PLEASE IGNORE ALL THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE SMELL THAT PEOPLE HAVE MENTIONED. THANKS. My wife & I stayed in the hotel for the last week of the season, Oct 19th -26th. It was just a wonderful relaxing holiday with about 70 guests, which was great. We were made very welcome from the very first minute we arrived... More

We stayed for the last week the hotel was open (19-26 October) and we can only say we had an absolutely fantastic week. The hotel was spotless and what made it even more special were the staff, as have been mentioned in previous reviews. We were in room 715 and Sanja kept it spotless. We cannot remember all the names... More
