From the time we arrived at the airport (we arranged transfers with Ophelia, the owner of Gloria), the impression we had could not have been more positive! This was our first time to Dubrovnik, and not our last, and fell in love with it just on the journey from the airport - the views were spectacular! When we arrived at... More

The home was built years ago by a contractor as his residence with the idea of renting out accomodation. The lobby is filled with antiques and our room had a shared deck overlooking the sea in the distance. The pool is unheated and refreshing after a hot day touring. Also, it is close to old town and the town beach... More

We arrived in Dubrovnik quite late in the evening by bus from the airport and carrying quite large suitcases as we were travelling further up the Dalmation coast after our 2 night stay in the city. It seemed like quite a walk from the bus station to the apartment but the walk was nothing compared to the climb up a... More

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights while across in Dubrovnik for a friends wedding. We arrived on the Tuesday and the owner (Ofelia?) was waiting for us, and welcomed us with a nice cold beer, which was more than welcome after climbing the stairs with our heavy bags. The room itself was a reasonable size and had a... More

I stayed here with a friend. There is a bewildering range of accommodation in Dubrovnik and I was worried about being able to find a hotel in the higgledy piggledy streets of the old town so I chose this one just outside. It is in a stunning position with great views of the old town especially when floodlit at night.... More

The room we had at Villa Gloria was reasonable for the price we paid, there were lots of steps in order to get up there, so this might not be a good location for those with mobility issues. The location is great for those heading to the beach, and old town is within walking distance. We had little interaction with... More

We were so disappointed about everything at the Villa Gloria. On our 15 night trip, it was the second worst hotel we stayed in. You can do better elsewhere. Pros: None Cons: Major safety violation!!!!! Door can only be locked WITH the key from the inside- this is a fire hazard & would be an extreme code violation in the... More

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the double studio with private balcony on the 3rd floor. The location for the old town is great, just a few minutes walk down the steps and through Ploce gate. Not far from cable car bus stop either which is handy for the airport shuttle. Fridge was great to store wine,... More

Villa Gloria was the ideal base for our "friends re-united" holiday. Six of us (50 somethings) met up and had a superb holiday. Our hosts (2 sisters who live on site) were marvelous if you need anything just ask and within reason they will accommodate. The location was fantastic 5-10 mins walk to the Old Town, mini supermarket, bakery, East-West... More

Upon arrival I noticed a mini-farm of tomatoes off to the side of the walkway. Our gracious host Octavia insisted I pick some of the ripe ones. She and her sister Ophelia operate the villa. Their father built the massive house I believe thirty years ago, and the resulting multi-apartment sea and city view location is perfect for beach and... More
