There's not really much to add to the previous comments, obviously we booked based soley on Tripadvisor's reviews. We don't do massive hotels and liked the personal touch and interaction of Royal Suites. It was like a home from home, and the staff were always available for a chat and advice on everything. On asking for a restaurant, the number... More

Good location close to historic area and ferry port. Rooms are clean, nicely appointed, smaller but very functional, quiet, with comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Also flexible by providing an early breakfast one morning and then providing a nice picnic lunch for our departure day (which was at 6:00 am). The hotel arranged... More

Great hotel located in a residential building about 5 min walk to the central bus station/ ferry and Dicletian's Palace.the rooms were specious, clean with modern deco.Good breakfast with coffe/tea available all day long. The staff were very accommodating, providing us with all information and even called on our behalf to check various options during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my second time staying at the Royal Suites. Here is what I love about it: 1. Air conditioning: I stayed in 6 different hotels in Croatia. Royal Suites has the hands-down best air conditioning (very important when it is 88 degrees during the day and 80 degrees at night). 2. Comfy bed and quiet room. 3. Delicious morning... More

This is a great hotel. It's just around the block from the bus station and port, and a block away from Diocletian's Palace. It's a family-run operation with clean, modern rooms and tremendous service. The breakfast room was more than adequate, with coffee and tea available at all hours. There is a grocery store one block away (in the opposite... More

We stayed in this hotel one night before we boarded a sail boat for 8 days in Croatia. The hotel offered pick up, and we received door to door service including the hotel staff carrying out bags up the stairs and then again out onto the street when we were leaving. The staff were very accommodating, providing us with directions... More

I stayed at the Royal suites during my travel to Split and had a perfect time there. The rooms are spotless, newly furnished and cosy and the breakfast might be the best part! Just a couple of minutes from all the important sights in Split as well as the famous beach "Bacvice"!! The staff will make sure you leave "Royal" with the... More

Well, funny story - we didn't actually stay here. We had a reservation, but somehow it got lost at the hotel. Toni went above and beyond to take care of the situation and found us a beautiful hotel to stay at instead (he paid the difference). When we arrived at the new hotel, an awesome gift had been left by... More

The sign says hotel, the web site says suites and the stationery says bed and breakfast. It is indeed all of these things - a family run business with staff members clearly proud of their premises. A small path from the street leads to an apartment block, a door sign says Hotel Royal and the buzzer lets you enter to... More

We had a little difficulty in finding the Suites as signs on the building only refer to The Royal. The Royal Suites are just part of a building occupied by private tenants. If you press the button for Royal at the main door then reception - on an upper floor - will buzz you in and come down to collect... More
