after paying for what i thought would be a lovely hotel to end our trip at, we were surprised when we arrived at the hotel. it was quite hard to find, and the appearance at first glance is pretty poor - cant see they would attract many travellers who havent booked. however, inside was much nicer and our room was... more

The room was great, had everything you could need, kitchenette etc. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and the location was perfect. It is a bit hard to find as the cabs can't drive all the way in, but the tourist centre was very helpful in helping me find my way there. That probably wouldn't have been a problem... more

This B&B has an excellent location in the old-town and is close the ferry/bus terminals. We stayed here on our way down to Dubrovnik/Montenegro and then on the way back on the way home. The receptionist Ana was very helpful and gave us excellent advice on where to eat etc and basically could not have done more for the guests.... more

It was raining hard and at night when the taxi driver dropped me off by the old city and said, "walk 50 meters, turn left, then walk another 50 meters and turn right". After wandering around the old city soaking wet, I ventured to ask a couple of young women for help. Fortunately, one of them spoke English, and they... more

We stayed in Hotel Kastel on our last night in Croatia, having caught the ferry back to Split from Hvar. For our purposes, it couldn't have been better - a short walk from the catamaran terminal, hugely convenient for the old palace, and easy to arrange a transfer to the airport in the morning. We booked a studio apartment (no.... more

The Kastell is a lovely small Bed and breakfast in a perfect location to explore the old town and enjoy the Split nightlife. Not the best place to stay if you require a good nights sleep but rooms are comfortable and the service is great! more

We stayed at B&B Hotel Kastel for one night. It's more like a small family-run set of of rooms than a hotel. Location is excellent: right in the middle of everything. The room was good, too. Clean and spacious, our corner room had two views: one over an alley and the other over the main promenade and the water just... more

We stayed two nights and had a room across from the reception desk with one double bed and a twin bed. Windows looked out on the Square and the Riva. Very clean and comfortable. Internet access for a small fee. Being just outside Diocletan's Palace, it is central to everything and yet tucked away. The hotel arranged for someone to... more

We booked Kastel B&B for our last night on a ten-day holiday in Central Dalmatia. I have been to the country many times and this hotel left very mixed impressions: Booking process - easy but pricing policies are not transparent. We booked directly with them and were quoted EUR100 for a two-person apartment (even though the website states EUR90). The... more
