The place was charming and conveniently located a few minutes walk from the market and old town, but the service not. On our first night we asked for suggestions for dinner, the man at the desk simply said to walk on the main road, look around and we’d find plenty of places to eat, we just had to pick. Great... We stayed in Villa Ana in Split with a few friends as part of our motorcycle tour of the Balkans. We received a very warm welcome and Daniel was very helpful during our short stay. Our room, on second floor, was large, comfortable and very clean. The location was very good, just a short walk to the historic city centre.... More

We booked Villa Ana through a booking agency in Split. Her directions were not very good but we found the place after stopping to ask at a pharmacy. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were large. We enjoyed dinner at Danijel's recommendation of Villa Diana right next door.

Our room was first floor at the front with the small balcony, very clean, large and restful. Some local neighbourhood noise, but that's part of staying in smaller places and ok by me. Great wifi. Breakfast was very acceptable. The lady who served breakfast and cleaned was very kind and accommodating. I left some medication in bedside drawer in error... More

When we arrived we were told there was a mixup and that they had us down for a month later. Our prior emails however all had the correct date. However the lady on duty quickly got on the phone and had someone from the tourist office there within 5 minutes. They arranged for a similar place for us (2 couples)... More

Villa Ana is a small, family run hotel in an overpriced town. Choose Villa Ana! The hotel is clean, comfortable, but most importantly the proprietor is a terrifically welcoming person. Danijel invited my friend and me to dinner at the equally sweet Villa Diana next door, challenged me to a game of tennis the next morning, then drove us to... More

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steves, and it was worth it. It's small and a very short walk down into the heart of old town Split (where I would not want to stay because it's pretty loud, nice to out of the melee). Ask for rooms at the back as they are quieter, but the whole hotel is nice.... More

7-10 minutes walk to the Riva and old town. Manager Daniel is very nice and helpful. We got lost and he went with my husband to the car and helped him to drive to the hotel and park, let us use parking after we checked out. He gave us excellent advice for the restaurants. Room is very clean and spacious;... More

Good location, walking distance to everything in the old town. You don't need a car when staying here in Split. Close to the ferries if you are going on to some islands or Dubrovnik that way. WiFi in room actually works unlike many places. AC a big plus. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and nice. Daniel was very nice,... More

We stayed here for 6 nights spread over 3 weeks, as a base for a bicycle tour of the islands. The location is ideal, just 5 minutes by bike to the ferry terminal, 10 minutes walking to the Riva, restaurants, the market and Diocletian Palace. The rooms are large and comfortable. The manager, Danijel, was very helpful, stored our bicycles... More
