Stayed here for 4 nights. Beware of rooms on the third floor because they have only a very small window high up on the wall that affords no views. Rooms were basic and a bit dated, but comfortable. No magnetic stripe cards, but old fashioned metal keys to get into rooms. Location is perfect right on Split Harbor and down... more
We stayed here for a night in late September 07. We had planned to stay 2 nights in Split but our decision to leave was based solely on the horrible night we spent in the Bellevue. We arrived late, we found reception and checked in with the most unfriendly (downright rude actually) staff we have met. Our room was on... more
A great quiet hotel right by the marina and moments from the old town, markets, shops and everything that Split has to offer. more
The Hotel Bellevue is in the perfect location but when it comes to the rooms considering the price it leaves a lot to be desired. It has no air conditioning so if the night is anyway hot you are left with just a little fan to keep you from swealtering. The breakfasts are nice though and we found the staff... more
The Hotel Bellevue is in a perfect location in Split. The outside building is very nice and you can reach the port, the promenade and the nice restaurants in less than 5 minutes. Also is great to visit the Diocletian Palace. I found it very expensive for a 3 star hotel (which by the way I think I remember to... more
We were arriving at 9 pm into Split and just needed a place to stay for the night - no frills, and this hotel did the trick. It has not seen renovations in years, but it was clean and in the perfect location. After seeing other posts, I will say our windows were a great size and height, and I... more
Last month I stayed in this hotel and after reading Nacozari's report on the hotel, I would have to agree on every aspect of it, except about the window. We arrived at the Split airport, picked up a rental car and drove into town. Well, what a nightmare that was, when we got into Split, there are so many no... more
After reading the review below I was a worried about what to expect. We had no problems finding the hotel lobby as there is a man as you walk in directing you upstairs and also I noticed a huge sign on the wall saying reception upstairs? The hotel is in a great location if you are doing a cruise from... more
The first, let's say, challenge about this hotel is finding the reception desk! It is one floor up a small unmarked staircase after entering what appears to be an abandoned lobby. (Well, actually it IS the former lobby of what was probably once a grander hotel.) Even the elevators were hidden behind a huge wall, and we felt like morons... more
