This hotel is close to the water(harbor) and the Roman ruins. The room was small as compared to American standards but the room had beautiful hardwood floors and nice appointments. The AC worked well! The mirror in the bathroom was rather high if you are a short person. It looked like each room was a bit different and you may... More

This hotel is located about 7 minutes away from the Old Roman town and shopping pedestrian mall of Split. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast offering was poor, as it constantly ran out of food. Sometimes you wonder whether this hotel is run by accountants guided by bottom line and head count. Along the way, management missed the... More

We stayed here as part of an Insight bus tour of Croatia in June 2014. The hotel is well appointed with a great swimming pool outside and one inside as well. We had a loft style room on the fifth floor. It was a pleasure to have an air con system that could actually be adjusted to the temperature you... More

This hotel reminded me of a venerable 19th century hotel that has charm, but is a little short on the routine maintenance. I was in Split as part of a choral group tour of Croatia. The hotel was chosen mostly because its convenient location, an easy 15 minute walk to the center of activity in the old city, but where... More

This hotel is very close to the city center and the ancient palace. We payed for a double room but got a suit. The room had plenty of space, nice furniture, couches and a great king size bed, mini bar and safety deposit. The bathroom was nice and had a jacuzzi bathtub. The only thing we did not like was... Really enjoyed our four-night stay at this hotel. Striking design throughout and very helpful staff. Our room was lovely, very spacious with great king size bed . The bathroom was comfortable, the room was clean, and we felt very welcome. Location is really the best- walking distance from the city centre. Also, we had a car parked in secure garage.... More

The Hotel President is a lovely place. We stayed there recently, and were very impressed. The staff members were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and was beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds, a large writing desk and chair, a coffee table and chair, and a two-seater. A lovely parquetry floor was partially-covered with matching, patterned rugs. High-quality drapes, curtains... More

This is a dated hotel in a good location. The rooms are large, the bathrooms fairly nice except for the odd shower in bathtub. At one end of the tub is a wrap around glass door. Don't drop your soap because this is an odd, tight space. Ladies, bring your own soap because what the hotel supplies are a couple... More

Central location close to the old city in Split, easy walk, always felt safe. Parking on the premises a plus. Room upgraded to a suite, which was unexpected. A little dated and waterbed, well... Wifi access good, with dedicated password. Staff friendly, so a good place to stay. No meals in the hotel ad we opted to explore the city... More

We were highly disappointed when we arrived at the hotel after a long drive from Dubrovnik at 11pm to be told the hotel had overbooked and moved us to another hotel for one night. We had a car and they didn't explain the parking to us or offer to help with our bags that we now had to carry across... More
