Some of the reviews for this hotel are far from glowing but on arrival, I was pleasantly surprised; the reception area is marble lined and cool and the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful (as were all the staff). There is no lift but as there is only one floor, this is hardly a problem for able-bodied people. The airy... more

Having read some of the other reviews I wondered if I stayed in the same hotel. The Jadran was originally built as a sports training facility and has an olympic size swimming pool and gymnasium. Therefore it is not a 'purpose built hotel'. However the rooms were comforable and clean , the staff were very friendly went out of their... more

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment with sea views. We arrived and had to carry our cases up the 2 levels of stairs as there was no lift. The receptionist did help though. The room had a hugh balcony with amazing views of the 2 pools and the sea. However, the carpets were disgusting, lots of stains and the decor... more

The Jadran is not really a hotel, it is an active swimming club. You should be aware that it was once one of the world's most prestigious water polo clubs. The pool on the premises is still used by teams from around the world to train when they come to Europe. The local teams use it too, although the complex... more

This hotel seems to be an old sports venue turned hotel. The view of the sea includes a view of the (olympic sized) pool, gates and spectator seats. The pools were closed, the room in a bad shape with a broken shower door (ie wet toilet seats and floor), clogged up shower drain, sliding door that wouldn't close and a... more

Hotel seems to have been an athletes' dormitory as it is built into a swim stadium with two outdoor pools and bleachers. The rooms have seen some upgrading with satellite tv and carpet. Bathrooms look terrible though (marble, mind you, but in bad shape)and sound proofing is non-existing. Most rooms can be joined into two bedroom suites and the doors... more

This hotel knew better times. Now, the rooms, bathrooms and common areas need important improvements. Also it is important to notice that some weekends the hotel holds weddings banquets and parties which means high volume music until 3 or 4 a.m. Breakfast is also poor. more

After a long drive from Plitvice in Aug. 05, we checked into the Hotel Jadran in Split. We had pre-booked the oceanside room online prior to our departure. The location is okay, out of the city near a quiet park, but it is not close to amenities. Our "view" was marred by two giant swimming pools, so I would not... more

This is a pretty nice hotel, or at least a very atheltic one. There are two swimming pools and it's near the water and a very active place. There was a swim team that worked out there every day and they had lesson and it was very bustling. They also have a decent gym in the hotel which was nice.... more
