I´ve spent a week at the Posada Don Valentino, and i had a super good expirience, the room was perfect for my needs, clean, spacious and in a good place and i had a beautiful terrace just outside of it, its not the cheapest place but you´ll get a good value for a resonable price. the best thing for me... more
I chose to stay here because I'd been happy with Casa Rustica (same owner), but I was only staying a Saturday night and leaving early the next day and didn't want to deal with the disco next to Casa Rustica. I had the same room as AngieinFL. It's just not a good room to be stuck with. I was surprised... more
I am glad this guest likes the other hotel, and I am sure, if he would reserve ahead of time to get a nicer room, he would like Posada Don Valentino, as well. The hotel was almost full, so we gave him a choice of the few rooms that were left. We have 18 rooms. 9 are on the 1st...
I fell in love with Antigua, Guatemala and its people and sites on my first trip there in Feb 2004. Until this last visit I had never found the perfect place to stay, until I stayed at La Posada Don Valentino. I intend to stay there every trip from now on. The Posada is lovely comfortable and very clean. All... more
Just returned from a wonderful trip to Guatemala where we stayed at Posada Don Valentino for 10 days. The location was excellent; two blocks from the central park, a block from an outdoor market, around the corner from the post office, and down the street from a supermarket. Lots of small great inexpensive restaurants very close. Our room was neat,... more
We were here a night, and the room was on OK size, the sheets were clean, the room was clean, and the staff was very friendly, so overall, it wasn't a bad stay. However, our only window opened to an interior hallway, so it was pretty stuffy and dark. Also, the shower temperature was pretty much uncontrollable the first day... more
Six of us were traveling together and we booked three rooms with the intention of staying a few days and traveling around the country and using Antigua as our home base. It couldn't have worked out better! We were initially in a room on the 2nd floor that had some water problem on the first morning and we were immediately... more
We chose this hotel because it sounded okay and was fairly central, but we were disappointed. The front desk staff showed no interest, the room was drab, to say the least, and it was noisy inside the hotel. It was expensive for what we got so we checked out after one night and found a similarly priced but much better... more
I stayed here in June which is not high season but the hotel was crowded and noisy. My room had a magnificent view of the stairwell and all of the echoing noise that would accompany it. There was no hot water, it was warm at best, and the tours I booked through the hotel were overpriced when compared with other... more
This guest said she stayed in June. Well, June through August, is when most colleges and schools, from the US take their summer break. So, this guest is a little inacurrant about the seasons. In Antigua, slow season is normally all of Sept and the first 2 weeks of Oct. During the rest of the year, there are lots of...
