This hostel is one of the best we have stayed in (now 8 mtgs into travelling we have stayed in a lot). The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully presented. There is a lovely outdoor area upstairs to eat the amazing breakfast they serve .. burritos or eggs always with lots of fruit. The hostel is also a few blocks away... More

The room: spotless, smells great, beautifully decorated, well maintained. The bed: soooooo comfortable, clean and soft sheets, perfect pillows. Bathrooms: spotless, smell like they've just been cleaned every time I used them, hot hot shower. Breakfast: included in price and best breakfast in Antigua. Options are eggs, pancakes, home made bread, potatoes, fried tomatoes and coffee or tea. Price: $25/private... More

This place has a great six bed dorm room (no bunks) and gets a good mix of travellers - sociable but not party scene. The breakfast is abundant and delicious and they have a tour agency on site so I had no problem fixing up activities at short notice. It's also kept very clean. Minor criticisms are the kitchen is... This place is so cool! the staff is friendly and the vibe is awesome! You cannot beat the breakfast also! We stayed in the corner room with it's own porch on the top floor and it was worth every penny! The owner is VERY patient, as I had to email her over a dozen times to confirm our reservations because... More

TJ & I were traveling to Guatemala on kind of a whim for a little over a week after Christmas; we each had a few years of high school Spanish under our belt (albeit in my case largely overwritten by later Russian classes) and thought that Guatemala seemed to be a cheap/safe/fun enough destination for a largely-unplanned post-spending-time-with-family vacation. After... More

A lovely little hostel with a nice commuity feel. The free breakfast was delicious and was a wonderful opportunity to meet other guests. I met more folks from the US here than anywhere else on my travels. Everyone was down to earth and not a party hostel vibe at all. People went to bed early. Good wifi, clean bathrooms (shared),... This is cute , inexpensive wonderful hostel. It is located about 4 blocks from the city square. I felt safe and secure there. There is a lovely terrace on the top where you can enjoy the fabulous breakfast or just sit and read. Shuttles will drop you off right at their door. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dont miss... More

We booked a private room (though shared bathrooms) for our last night in Guatemala. We were upstairs right next to the lovely terrace. The Yellow House is in a great location, a short walk past a park to get to the arch, and then a little bit more to get to the park. It was just enough out of the... More

A friend and I shared a double roome (#13) for a week in January and had a lovely time. It really felt like home. We loved the free, delicious breakfasts, as well as the lovely staff that cooked them!! We also utilized the kitchen quite a bit for cooking lunch and dinner. Even though the kitchen is tiny, it has... More
