A lovely little hostel with a nice commuity feel. The free breakfast was delicious and was a wonderful opportunity to meet other guests. I met more folks from the US here than anywhere else on my travels. Everyone was down to earth and not a party hostel vibe at all. People went to bed early. Good wifi, clean bathrooms (shared),... This is cute , inexpensive wonderful hostel. It is located about 4 blocks from the city square. I felt safe and secure there. There is a lovely terrace on the top where you can enjoy the fabulous breakfast or just sit and read. Shuttles will drop you off right at their door. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dont miss... More

Love this place! They have an excellent buffet breakfast, clean rooms, very helpful staff & the rooftop lounge is lovely. The guest use computer was essential for me since I lost my charger and the staff helped me resolve getting a new one too. Thanks for everything yellow house!

We booked a private room (though shared bathrooms) for our last night in Guatemala. We were upstairs right next to the lovely terrace. The Yellow House is in a great location, a short walk past a park to get to the arch, and then a little bit more to get to the park. It was just enough out of the... More

A friend and I shared a double roome (#13) for a week in January and had a lovely time. It really felt like home. We loved the free, delicious breakfasts, as well as the lovely staff that cooked them!! We also utilized the kitchen quite a bit for cooking lunch and dinner. Even though the kitchen is tiny, it has... More

Just great as far as hostels go. Mellow if that's more your thing, but a great space, staff, breakfast and far enough away from the party area that you can sleep for the early shuttle. The dorm itself was overcrowded with beds and it had individual lockers for valuables.

So great. Professionalism from the staff, responsive to requests/emails/even a live chat! The support staff is the best; the women who cook and clean keep everything meticulous (no problems at all with the shared bathroom; feels cleaner than my own!). They even kindly gave me another breakfast for free when I embarrassingly fell on the stairs with my first breakfast... More

My stay at the Yellow House was great! The reservation process was easy and the staff replied quickly. The pre arranged pickup at the airport was appreciated, especially as my flight arrived quite late. The hostel was clean, bedding was warm and clean, rooms were large enough and also very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Best of... More

The Yellow House is a well run and clean hostel. The staff are hard working and polite; the free breakfast was delicious and filling. I enjoyed napping in one of the hammocks. I would stay there again.

We've really enjoyed our stay at the Yellow House. It's well located just a short walk from the centre of town with plenty of restaurants and shops around. The bed has been comfy enough (though a little hard for our liking) but the rooms are tidy, as are the bathrooms. The staff have been really helpful and friendly too with... More
