The worst thing I can say about this is that it has a tiny kitchen! But you won't worry about that because the free breakfasts are absolutely delicious and the friendly helpful staff can point you in the direction of some great restaurants - ask for the local place with fixed menus where they make cornbread out the front. Usually... More

Wonderful hostel, I've done a lot of backpacking and stayed at a wide range of places through out the world, the rooms are clean and cute, affordable, hot showers, really good free breakfast, right downtown, friendly staff and an awesome oasis Like upstairs with cute tables, hammocks and plants. :)

We stayed here for 3 nights. Highly recommend it. The staff (both cleaning, cooking and reception) are very helpful and friendly. Furthermore, the showers and bathrooms are very clean. Last but not least, you can enjoy a great breakfast (fruits, pancakes, omelet made to order, tortillas etc.) on their rooftop terrace and enjoy the nice views from the hostel its... More

This hostel was a wonderful place to stay. I could write so much about this place and there are not enough superlatives to truly describe how great it is. From the delicious breakfasts, the super clean bathrooms (I almost felt guilty for using them), to the always welcoming staff and learning some basic spanish from the cleaning and breakfast ladies.... Yellow House is the hidden gem of Antigua hostels. There are plenty of hostels which are more well-known, but Yellow House is one that everyone should know. Clean rooms and clean bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff, well-maintained, very nice terrace, great breakfast. It is everything except a party hostel. If you're looking for a party hostel there are a couple... More

Yellow House is a nice quiet place to stay in Antigua. I stayed here for a week, the first night in a private room and the rest of the time in the dorm. Overall it is a nice little place - great if you are studying or wanting to get away from it all, but in terms of atmosphere and... More

Really friendly little hotel/hostel with a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. The roof terrace with hammocks and views of all 3 volcanoes is a great place to enjoy the excellent free breakfast (definitely lived up to the hype!). Staff were helpful, even before we arrived, responding to email queries quickly and they make booking trips and onwards travel from there easy. We'll... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on the recommendation of another couple whom we had met in Lago de Atitlan. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely little cabin like room upstairs by the terrace where you can hang out on the comfy chairs and sofa or relax in one of the hammocks. The room itself was really tastefully... More
