I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. It's beautiful, comfortable and the hospitality provided by all the staff is outstanding! I love being able to go to the rooftop to savor my first cup of coffee each day (coffee is also amazing!) The courtyard and wood is exquisite! Guest rooms are very comfortable. Easy access to the markets... More

Every detail of this hotel has been carefully crafted. The handcrafted wooden doors and furniture are simply exquisite. The staff goes above and beyond to serve. The location is perfect for walking to the markets of Antigua. My family stays there every summer.

I spent 7 days at the Hotel Candelaria this past week which was not nearly enough time. This is by far the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. From the beautiful center atrium and breath taking views from the roof top terrace to the hand crafted furniture, everything is designed for a relaxing Antigua holiday. The staff was... More

I have stayed at the Candelaria for one week for the past 7 years. It is a gorgeous hotel with a beautiful court yard, comfortable rooms and a fantastic rooftop view of three volcanoes. The hospitality found here is top notch, very friendly and accommodating.

I've stayed at this hotel nearly 10 times on mission trips, for periods of one and two weeks at a time. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable after a hard day's work. The rooftop is a wonderful place for relaxing with friends, not to mention the great photo opportunities of Volcan de Agua. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.... More

This was the second time we stayed here after a mission trip and it did not disappoint! Beautiful rooms great lobby, dining room and "living room". We stayed in room 105 both times. This room has a queen bed and a beautiful spacious bathroom. Love this place!! The courtyard is a relaxing beautiful space to reflect and pray.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this property, and its a nice stay if you want to get away from noise. Our room was spacious and bathroom was large. The towels were fresh and crisp. The attendant was prompt to provide us with more towels when requested. The breakfast was fresh and excellent for the price. The owner... More

with beautiful, well appointed clean rooms with large (king) beds. the staff goes out of its way to accommodate and prepares a cooked breakfast in a kitchen area almost as small as mine at home!! the hotel is about 15 minutes walking distance from antigua's central square, but very walkable especially during the day and you'll be rewarded with finding... We had spent a week in Guatemala on a mission trip and stayed in a hotel in Zacapa with thin sheets, blankets, and pillows and no hot water. We had our cultural day in Antigua and stayed here and loved it. Nice clean rooms and HOT water (when you dont have it for a week, it IS a big deal).... More

Arrived here for a one-nighter in Antigua. I fell for the Expedia stats... Checked into a ground-floor room across from the the fountain and the front desk. I sleep like the dead and there was no way this was going to happen. Once the team of middle-america bible thumpers poured in and proceeded to talk at old-testament volume, I requested... More
