Perfect staging point to explore Antigua. Our visit happened in August, the rainy season. However only our 1st day had rain. Don't be surprised if you've dinned outside and return after 8:00 that the doors will be closed. Knock and the porter will let you in. Wifi is strongest in the courtyard and there's a 2nd network around the pool.

I first saw this incredible property at the end of a medical mission trip to Zacapa in 2010. I immediately fell in love and promised myself that I would one day return and stay in this Spanish Palacio. My dream of staying here came to life for two glorious evenings in July while traveling to Guatemala on business. From the... More

The hotel is built around a garden patio right in the center of town. Once you enter you are in a different century and completely unaware that you are in a 21st C busy community. The bar and restaurant are upscale and just perfect. There is a welcoming anmbience and gre4at service. The rooms are decorated with traditional trappings. They... More

Lovely Hacienda style Hotel! Pretty, pretty, pretty! Built around a courtyard with fountain/greenery: not many rooms. Very nice. The bar room is WOW, knockout. Yelow and lovely. I want it!! Built for someone's daughter. Hope she appreciated it! No pool: who cares! Lovely staff: very helpful/friendly. Even had umbrellas for the (heavy) rain. Really enjoyed staying here: worth every penny.... More

We were very happy with our stay at Palacio de Dona Leonor. The location couldn't be more perfect, as it's literally a few steps from the main square and the cathedral. The courtyard in the centre of this hotel is lovely and green, with a few tables off to one side for dinner and breakfast. Meals were delicious, by the... More

After our 45 minute ride from the Guatemala City airport we arrived at Dona Leonard and were amazed at the beautiful garden and terrace area. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with everything from our bags to providing a charger for a phone that we had left back at home. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I recommend the... This is a beautiful hotel less than one block from the main square in Antigua which makes the location perfect. The property itself is a magnificently restored hacienda with a beautiful courtyard and luxurious individually designed and named rooms. The public areas are fabulous and enjoyable to look at and experience. We stayed here with a 20% discount since we... More

At the end of a two week trip to visit Mayan sites in Mexico and Guatemala, we traveled to the beautiful colonial city of Antigua and splurged on this old gem well located near the heart of the city.
