The hotel is well situated but the rooms are very small, we had it in a all inclusive trip and it was the worst between 10... arrived late the water stopped while taking my shower, we had to change the room.

Stayed for 3 nights.  Reservation process is simple and no deposit was needed. Arrived earlier than expected so had to wait a little but then we had a choice of several rooms. Took one of the top floor ones which are nice and airy. The bathrooms are pretty small though.  Safe deposit box is available and the rooftop terrace was... More

We stayed here as part of a group for 4 nights, the rooms are centred round a court yard with windows looking out, this is a bit unnerving as people can look in as they pass to there own rooms. Bathroom was tiny but clean. Free wifi and complementary drinks add a nice touch. I would say Antigua is a... More

In general, we had a good value for our money; the room is very basic and the bathroom is very small, but those were things that didn´t bother us too much. But if you are looking for a quite night, this is not the place. We were able to hear the other guests talking well past after 11 pm outside... More

I have been staying at this charming place for over 15 years now, and it never fails to disappoint. Twelve of stayed here this time and enjoy the location, nicely furnished rooms, and the great customer service. Gerlinde (the manager) and Jorge could not be nicer. This little hotel is a good bargain. We will return again.

This place was nice enough, but the gray-haired German owner was one of the most unfriendly people I have ever met. She doesn't seem fond of costumer service, which put a damper on the experience for me. The staff pushes the restaurant next door, Fernando's, on their guests because they also own it. It's a fine restaurant, but there are... More

Because we have family near Antigua, we have visited Guatemala 15 years in a row. Once we discovered Posada La Merced, we are happy to book our room there each year. My reasons: hot water, clean sheets, lovely staff, no bugs, delightful garden, great location, drinking water without having to buy bottled water. The hotel staff understands that we have... More

Good value hotel with pretty garden and friendly staff. Bathrooms are tiny. The hotel is really secure, and tended to well. We had some very noisy neighbors the first night who's voices echoed loudly in the atrium and kept us awake - I was very close to complaining to the staff, but I don't like to make a fuss! Apart... Ideally located and you couldn't meet more helpful, friendlier staff in a hotel than here, especially eric and jorge but........... Bedrooms on first floor are tiny and bathrooms are so small you have to stand in shower to go to toilet, the wash sink is then in the room. Had a room on bottom floor and got little sleep for... Like most of the places in Antigua this hotel is pretty, as the city itself. The staff spoke English very well and had good knowledge about the city. I had to get some extra room at the last minute and they sorted something in their sister hotel next door. If you have a large group, you can book the courtyard... More
