My girlfriend and I along with three of our friends stayed here for our time in Antigua. The prices were fair, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our stay was made that much better by a man named Edy. If you are looking for Spanish classes, volcano tours, plantation tours or even just some good local info go... More

Not the worst but definitely not the best budget option in town. Some rooms (beds) are better then others. Look around. Bar around the corner tends to be noisy. Tip to other travelers: book some other place ahead in Antigua if you want to stay there on a weekend day.

We ended up here because everything else was booked up for Independence Day. The beds were lumpy with springs poking out and didn't seem the cleanest - the pillow cases smelled so we swapped them. The shared bathroom was pretty bad, the toilet was lacking a seat. Not very well looked after... On the plus side, It felt pretty secure,... More

Place is far from clean. There was no toilet seat on the toilet. Staff weren't friendly. Price wasn't great. Very very average. Would not recommend this place. Look around for the nicer places in town.

I can't recommend the dorm room as it's small, smelly and the beds are a nightmare. If you weigh more than 80 kg do not consider sleaping there at all. The beds are maximum shaky (in Europe one wouldn't conside making a bed of this material) and mine broke down when I tried to climb it. What a shock for... More

I think the people who have written reviews have this place confused with the Hostel next door. This place the staff and owner were extremely courteous and kind for our whole stay. The breakfast was excellent and the gentleman that served us ALWAYS had the biggest smile on his face. However the Hostel next door played music loudly and kept... More

Meant to stay here for three nights, could only manage one. We were in the room behind the tv room. Dark and dingy with a funny smell and no windows. Loud at night and a strong smell of burning when we tried to use hot water in the shower. Go elsewhere!

Stayed here for 3 nights and at first had nothing bad to say- kitchen, terrace, good location and clean room so we were happy. However, we soon discovered the customer service to be pretty shocking and the man who attends the desk in the evenings is incredibly rude and clearly ripping people off. We booked a tour through the hostel... More

We stayed two nights in the dorm. We observed: - no cleaning the dorm nor the bathroom - no toilet paper, full trash - bathroom walls covered in mould under paint - tiny, smelly dorm - kitchen ok, though in the morning no gas = no cooked bteakfast - kitchen open 8am-10 pm - on the second night, noone at... The rooms are okay for the price, but when i went to bed i felt that something is wrong. I turned on the light and saw some bed bugs. So i took a photo, and asked for another bed. The guy told me they have another bed, but it is private and i have to pay much more when i... More
