We stayed two nights at Casa Azul after spending two nights at the beginning of our vacation at a different hotel . The main reason we chose Casa Azul was because they had a pool and also a hot tub. We were hoping to enjoy both but Antigua had a cold period while we were there so the pool was... more

ok, this review is going to be different from most of my other reviews....this place is not what it seems at all. Usually, I write many positive things, but this place.........lacks a lot. I admit that I used Elizabeth Bell's Travel Agency to book this hotel, so I was taking a chance without doing additional research of my own, but.....there... more

We stayed at this hotel in February, 2008 for 3 nights. I had stayed here before back in 1999, also. The location is great, just a block off the main park. There is also a very nice pool area and a lovely breakfast served in the courtyard. The first night, we were in a first-floor room, just behind the check-in... more

I have read some mixed reviews about this hotel and after just staying here I think your experience will vary depending on the room that you get. This place has 14 rooms, and they all are very unique. When we made our reservation, we wanted to be on the 2nd floor with the volcanoe views which we had read so... more

WOW! What a wonderful place to stay!!!!!! I read the bad reviews of this hotel and it almost made me angry, thats how perfect our stay was. My husband myself and our 2 children ages 12 and 7 stayed here last month and i didn't want to leave!! We had a top floor room that was the best, it had... more

We stayed at the Casa Azul in Antigua from March 6-11. We were visiting our daughter who was staying in nearby Jocotenango to study Spanish and participate in some service projects. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We stayed in a lower room because an upper room was not available. Our room was very nice with large hot shower, nice... more

The hotel's location is perfect. It resides one half block from "Park Central" and near a plethora of quality restaurants. The hotel has a pool and hot tub and the rooms are quaint and clean. Our room had a balcony onto the street which was fun during the day but a little loud at night. The breakfast was quite good... more

We stayed at Casa Azul for five nights, including two different rooms. Both rooms were pretty, very clean, and had a lot of charm. Breakfast was copious delicious -- both the granola/yoghourt version and the chapin (Guatemalan) version. The biggest treat, however was the staff, who patiently let us practice our paltry Spanish and would help expand our vocabulary. more

Hotel Casa Azul is right in the center of the city - and it is a jewel! If you are traveling by yourself or with an intimate companion, stay in the FIRST room upstairs, after checking in. It is a charming and comfortable room: the cotton bedding is sweet to the body (especially if you have been staying in cheaper... more

This hotel was a soft. What great expectations we had and what disappointments we got. Okay, the location is ideal. But how bad was the room; smelly, a dump and not clean. The "bathroom" was terrible. The ceiling was moulded in green and white. Not very pleasant. Everything looks okay at first sight, but my advise; don't look twice. I... more
