San Jorge is a low key little place with tasty breakfasts and friendly staff. It is just a short quiet walk from the downtown square, and not near any noisy bars. The rooms are clean and basic; you will not lack for anything, but it is not a luxury hotel (neither is the bill).

We had the best 10 days at Hotel San Jorge with many thanks to the owner Evelyn! There were four of us, two couples from Virginia US and we wanted a place to call home for 10 days that would allow us to venture off for a night or two without having to keep lugging everything we brought with us.... My mother, daughter and I spent a week at the Hotel San Jorge. The staff was awesome and made you feel like family from the time you walked through the gates into the lush courtyard. There was always someone on staff that spoke English. The open courtyard was filled with plants, trees where you could even pick a tangerine to... More

Recommend this hotel as a wonderful place to stay in Antigua. The rooms surround a beautiful park-like garden. The rooms are very clean, all bathroom amenities you would expect in a nice hotel. The owner/hostess was extremely accommodating to our large group - served breakfast early.

Stayed several times during January as part of a tour. A haven of peace behind the wall, hosting a nice garden where we took breakfast each morning. Breakfast was fixed but a good amount of cereals, fruit or a fry up. Wifi was fine in the garden - never worked in my room but nothing to get excited about. Fantastic... More

We stayed 4 nights in total at this hotel, organised by Old Town Outfitters as part of a tour. The hotel rooms are simple but comfortable. We were lucky to get a King size bed room but it seems not all are like that. Breakfast is usually taken in the nice garden with tea or coffee, bread and jam and... More

We stayed at the San Jorge before and after a 3-day trip to Lake Atitlan. Old Town Outfitters arranged the hotel for us, and we met many others coming or going from treks there. The grounds are very nice, as is the staff. The rooms are quite basic, but have everything that's need for a simple and budget-minded stay. There... More

We enjoyed our time at San Jorge (pronounced San Hore-Hay). The hotel is an extra 5 minutes walk from the main square compared to other places but unless you're a particularly lazy person I don't think this is an issue. The setting is nice, it's a set of rooms surrounding a grass courtyard with a fountain. You share the space... More

The hotel is very simple, clean, inexpensive. The staff is very help and courteous. They helped plan our trip with hotel to Pana. We really enjoyed our stay, breakfast included was delicious. Would definitely stay again. Plan on going in November and will be stopping by. Walking distance to a lot of things. Hotel is located in a very quiet... More

We just stayed at the san Jorge for w week. The main downside of this hotel is the owner, who is really unpleasant. In addition, our room had dirty walls, torn, stained carpet and dirty sheets. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, but it only works in certain locations outdoors. The staff is very sweet, and the gardens are lovely, but the... More
