The Aurora is the oldest hotel in Antigua. The spacious rooms (ours accommodated 4 comfortably) are built around a beautiful courtyard with a fountain in the center and shady verandas on all sides. A continental breakfast (fruit plate or fresh-squeezed OJ, toast with butter & jam, tea or coffee) is served on the veranda; for an additional cost, other options... more

Stayed a week for vacation and volunteer work. A+++ Charming small hotel. Square grassy courtyard, bubbling fountain, surrounded by rooms - open air halls with orchids trailing along the edges. In bloom with many varieties of roses, orchids, and other flowers. Previous reviews are right on target. Central location. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was simple... more

Conviently located two blocks from the central square, this affordable hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The well maintained central garden is surrounded by large very clean rooms. The tasty breakfast is served outside in this delightful flowered garden. The rooms were well equipped with all the necessities. Staff were friendly and spoke some English. We will definitely stay... more

It exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised at the accomodations. As for the noise from the street, it didn't bother us at all. It appears they installed new windows which... more

Prior reviews pretty much said it all. We had a nice stay and found the Aurora's location very convenient -not to close to Antigua's centre and not to far. more

Hotel Aurora in Antigua, was the best little hotel of our month's trip in Guatemala. Amiable, some English speaking staff; good beds; pleasant room; and best of all the garden style interior courtyard where guests can hang out for some relaxation plus reasonable price for middle-aged travelers makes this our number one choice. When reserving a room, ask for one... more

charming, quaint hotel that makes you feel like more of a local than a tourist. Nice breakfast served by delightful staff. No frills, but clean and comfortable. Sitting around the courtyard gives you a chance to read, sketch or get to know the other guests. more

Lovely hotel in an old building set around a courtyard with fountains and lovely flowers. Breakfast is lovely and you can sit around the courtyard in the sun enjoying the atmosphere. rooms were quite basic but clean and comfortable. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of Antigua. Only bad thing was that there was some traffic noise as... more
