Aurora Hotel is in a wonderful location to the heart of Antigua. Easy walking distance to many points of interest. The staff wonderful all days we were there. We stayed one Saturday night in the main inner courtyard. Clean, hot water, pitcher of water for drink. Very accomodating. Returned the next Saturday with three more and we were in two... More

We stayed here at the end of July 2015, and were woken on our first morning by marching bands outside our window for the 25th July celebrations. Awesome way to see Antigua for the first time!! The hotel is a beautiful old Spanish colonial style place, with a beautiful courtyard containing a massive garden and fountain. We stayed in room... More

My family and I stayed at Aurora prior to hiking Pacaya Volcano. Accommodations were very nice with wonderful bathroom fixtures. Breakfast was very nice but we did order from the menu to have a better balanced diet before our hike. Hotel staff was extremely accommodating to our needs and most of the front desk staffers did speak English. Location was... More

I have been bringing my mission teams to the Hotel Aurora now for two years. We stay twice a year and the staff is wonderful!! They have 22 rooms available and breakfast is a contential breakfast but awesome! If you want to order from their menu you can. You can give the front desk laundry to wash for you and... More

I've stayed twice at Hotel Aurora, and I've passed along the name to all of my friends here in San Salvador for when they are in Antigua. It is close to everything, friendly staff, beautiful gardens and sitting areas, big rooms, and a good breakfast.

I stayed for 9 days in early June in order to explore the captivating historic city of Antigua, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Aurora's location is fabulous, next door to the Museum of Chocolate(!) and two short blocks to the Parque Central, with excellent coffee shops and local life. The Aurora attracts friendly people and, in June,... More

We spent 8 nights at this hotel, found it totally met our needs, and the price is reasonable. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was fine and during the day there was a 42 year of parrot, Lorenza, in the garden. The patio outside our door was lovely and we enjoyed the outdoor living that Guatemala offers. The morning... More

This is a lovely hotel in Antigua. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel there are other hotels in Antigua. However, if you chose to stay at Aurora Hotel you will feel at home in this quaint and historic building. The building originally housed the first girls school in Antigua. It's a true Spanish style home with a center... More

We spent here 3 nights. The rooms are pretty big and so is the bathroom with an antique design. It's not fancy but really nice with a good relaxing vibe. Their is a beautiful garden in the middle of the hotel which you can sit and relax in. The stuff was nice, we booked threw the hotel couple of tours.... More

We have stayed at fancier hotels (e.g. Antigua's Porta Hotel) and found this one much more to our liking, But I will concede that young children would prefer a place with a swimming pool and lots of mysterious corridors in which to wander around, while business people would prefer a place with conference rooms. But for vacationing adults, or families... More
