Casa Santo Domingo has the best service, food, and ambiance in Central America. The historic setting is very unique and peaceful.

Fantastic Hotel. Probably the best I have been in Central America. Being there you feel like in a museum. Since its an old dominican convent, walking down the corridors you can enjoy many works of art. The service is excellent, as the rooms and the food

If you ever happen to have a change to visit Antigua, you MUST stay here! I was a monastery back in the 1500's and it is now a historic ruins, museum & hotel. It is honestly breathtaking!!! My husband and I have traveled quite a lot, and this place took us by surprise. It was recommended by a friend, and... More

Build on a 1500´s Convent/Church ruins, this hotel is very charming and different. Confortable rooms, nice swimming pool, great food all under a mystical environment surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. If you add the magical spirit of Antigua....wow!

Casa Santo Domingo is without a doubt the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. It's an old monastery from colonial times, and preserves the architecture - atmospheric crumbling walls and all - of that time. Unique art is scattered throughout the property and inside the very individual rooms. Beautiful flowers, colorful macaws, views... More

Our family of four stayed at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo for four nights in June 2011. We all agreed that it was the most magically beautiful hotel we'll probably ever see. The rooms were lovely and roomy, and ours had great views of the volcano right out the balcony doors. But it was the rest of the grounds that took... More

This place is spectacular. The service, the ambience, the food, the quality is seen and enjoyed in every step you take in here. Our waiters were the best. We are a group of vegetarians, and found great choices in the menu. I highly reccommend it. The swimming pool is awesome. The gardens are superb. The service top quality. We enjoyed... More

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. They staff is very friendly and eager to please. They have a great pool area, where we spent a lot of time. We really enjoy the background convent music that plays throughout the hotel, it takes you back in time while walking through the gardens with the old ruins.... More

We had one night in Antigua after travelling long and hard. This hotel was such a welcome respite from the "rustic" accomodations we had elsewhere. The price was reasonable, the room clean and comfortable, and the grounds unbelievable. The Hotel is built within the grounds of ancient ruins. There is also a spa and pool, and a top notch restaurant... More
