Me and my family stayed at the Casa Santo Domingo during our trip to Guatemala. It is a great unique hotel very faithful to Guatemalan culture. It is full of incredible spots on a very large property. Service was great and we would definitely recommend it

Antigua is a beautiful city and you will enjoy it either if it's a day trip or a weekend stay. For me, the second time I went there I decided to stay at this beautiful hotel. The house that used to be a convent and is surrounded by locations full of history. The service is first class, and it has... More

I have never stayed in such an incredible hotel. It is a convent, built in 1538, turned hotel. The grounds are stunning and the service is excellent. It's a true treasure. It is also a museum- on Saturdays from 4-6pm is a walking tour. There is also coffee and meringue cookies served daily around 4. I highly recommend this place... More

This was my first time in Antigua. Great city and towns surrounding. Hotel was exceptional! From reception to the end everything was great. Wide rooms, nice gardens, very good restaurant. These could be enough to qualify this experience as very good. But what makes the difference is the great amount of art pieces and old buildings in the middle of... More

Unfortunately, I was only here for one night but it was magical. The rooms were quaint and comfortable complete with a fireplace. The grounds are beautiful and so unique because you can explore the ruins of the old convent. I had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was also very... More

First off, my wife and I did not stay at the hotel as a guest, but we did come for breakfast and zip lining. Several weeks ago, we were in Guatemala for a mission trip with our church. During that time we had the opportunity to have a "fun day" on a Saturday. We went to Casa Santo Domingo with... More

We luckily found a bargain price to stay for 2 nights at this hotel. We have stayed at the best hotels in many parts of the world and this place shines bright. The rooms are stunning. Large multi-room suite with balcony if you stay on the second floor. In the early evening candles are everywhere lighting the walkways and inner... More

Two weeks of adventure, culture and diving through Guatemala and Belize started in this sanctuary. Antigua is beautiful and this hotel makes it extra cosy ( fireplace in your bedroom)!. Perfect location and very peaceful and quiet. Great staff and good restaurant. We absolutely adored it.

This old monastery is the real deal!! The property is an old monastery really we'll kept. Rooms are very spacious and all originality we'll maintained. Some rooms are located right above the many crypts that you can actually visit. Amazing authentic Guatemalan chocolate mini factory and candle making shop on the premises. I must say that my wife & I... More

The hotel is a centuries old monastery, parts of which have been dug out from volcanic ash. The hotel rooms have been built into and around the monastery in a seamless fashion. The flow of the rooms, open walled restaurant and lush gardens leave you wanting to to discover every part of it. At night the corridors are lit with... More
