Check out Casa Santa Dominga even if you don't stay there. It's amazing. Modern amenities but surrounded by history. There are fireplaces in the rooms. I didn't expect to be able to have a fire in my hotel room in Central America in the summer but I cools off at night. It's an amazing place.

I've been twice to Casa Museo Santo Domingo and I think that this is one of the best hotels in Antigua. Location is great, just in the city center, and it is surrounded by its own museums. Rooms are spacious and pool is beautiful. Restaurant is good too, with good selections. Wine list can be improved.

We stayed here for our honeymoon night and were married here. The wedding was beautiful. Very small hitches well organized, and the food was delicious, the best meal I've ever had. Since we booked our room through the staff and wedding coordinators I thought it was well communicated that we were on our honeymoon. I was expecting rose petals or... More

We splurged and stayed at this hotel on our final night in La Antigua and I'm glad we did. It is such a beautiful and unique place with such an outstanding level of service. Although not without a hiccup or two (more on this below), the setting and staff are amazing. It is a sprawling compound built on ruins and... More

I love La Antigua Guatemala it is a magical place and has a magical five star hotel: Casa Santo Domingo. The hotel was built on the remains of an original Convent destroyed by an earthquake. The owner took about ten years to rebuild it as close as the original building was and the result is a luxurious calm space for... More

I stayed here during a friend's wedding. I was amazed at the size and grandeur of the room. The hotel features a museum and a spa. The room was huge. It had a fireplace and a patio with a garden outside. I wish that I had gotten a chance to get the pizza service (they actually offer to come to... More

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Full stop. The breakfast buffet is fantastic here. Tons of choices (way too many, actually). The hotel itself it a museum with ruins onsite. I loved seeing the parrots everyday as well. It is easy walking distance to the main square and pass by one of the better street markets... More

I stayed at the Casa Santa Domingo for a conference I attended. Everything about the hotel was terrific. The service was good, the facilities were lovely, the food was delicious and our room was large and comfortable. The only negative comment I have is that our room was dark but we didn't a lot of time there other than when... More

Went to Guatemala to visit my brother in the Peace Corps. We stayed in Antigua the last two nights we were here, but we wished we would have stayed longer, especially at this hotel. The ambiance, food, service, rooms, hotel gardens all was impeccable. Our favorite part was probably exploring all the hotel has to offer. My husband (who was... More

The building is really pretty but the food and service at the restaurant were very average. If you want to go to see all the art work it's worth but not for the food. They are offering a fusion Guatemalan cuisine which is nothing special doe the price. Besides that, two things that I would like to mention: 1. They... More
