My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst exploring Antigua and the local area. Terrace is a lovely hostel. The biggest selling point has to be the rooftop bar which offers cheap local beers, cocktails and a great view of both Antigua and the stunning landscape around. Our dorm room was pleasant and clean, and we had our... More

really fun vibe, good happy hour and a great view of antigua. The staff is awesome, and the nachos are the biggest and best in antigua! It is a great place to meet travelers, and a really cute puppy. I stayed on three separate occasions because I liked it so much.

Hi Devon, Thank you for staying at the Terrace on THREE occasions! That is a great compliment in itself. We're glad you enjoyed the puppy - actually sometimes we have several running around during the day. It's a great way to get a "puppy fix" when you are away from home. And finally, we must agree that our Nacho Volcano... More

Staff was generally friendly and a good place to meet people when traveling.. excellent view on top and decent food! Would be nice if the hostel employed more local people and encouraged visitors to speak Spanish.. but maybe that's just my opinion :) Bring earplugs if you're planning on going to bed before 11 or so.

I stayed at terrace 3 times during June and July..I kept returning as the people were so friendly and te roof top bar is great. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are keen to meet people. Drinks are cheap. Rooms a little small but otherwise no problem, sheets clean etc. They were very helpful in booking all my shuttles... More

Hostel is in a fine location, good bar/restaurant up the top. Quite loud but it's ok. Stayed in a double room, very simple but all you really need. Bathroom was not good though - bad shower for the shared one

Thanks for your review and feedback. You're right, it can be a bit loud at times since we tend to have a lot of fun loving people that stay with us. We are currently addressing the shower to which you referred. Thanks for the heads-up! Cheers! Maggie More

Although we only stayed for one night, I was impressed that the dorm room for four had a private bathroom complete with a shower. The rooftop bar was also a pleasant plus since it was only a 30 second walk from our room. It was also nice being able to get a private shuttle in the morning to the airport... More

I stayed here in March 2014 and had a great stay. We had the private room with private bathroom which was clean, spacious and safe. Our friends stayed in the dorms and had no dramas. The rooftop terrace really makes this place, the view of the volcanoes is amazing and the bar serves very well priced drinks and delicious food.... More

I've stayed at the terrace as a guest and frequented the bar on numerous times before that also. In both situations I had a blast. Jack and the other bar staff were really friendly and knowledgable about the area as well as serving a mean Cuba libre. I highly recommend this place

We stayed for a couple nights and had a blast. The dorms are nice and clean, the beds were really comfortable. The bathrooms are basic but, have good hot showers. The terrace view makes the place add burgers and 10Q beers and we were set. Met a lot of great travelers (two we´re still with) and saw pretty sick eruptions... More
