We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Camino Real Antigua. We had a deluxe double room and it was large and well appointed, but could have used some more light. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the layout of the bathroom. The grounds are exceedingly pretty and so well cared for. Everywhere you looked you found "little treasures"...fountains,... Their management company owns a Camino Real Guatemala City which is a Westin Property. They use all the "touches" that Westin makes mandatory on their Guatemala City property and carried it over to their hotel in Antigua, but it is NOT a Westin. I was invited to breakfast at the hotel with a friend of mine who paid for the... More

We had Sunday brunch yesterday with friends and found the food to be so-so and the marimba music far too loud for conversation. Far better Eggs Benedict are to be found at Panza Verde or other places in town. WE also found all the public areas of the hotel to be very cramped. The hotel garage had very tight turning... More

I went for a seminar and I had a great experience. Rooms are nice, comfortable, spacious, beds are super cozy. The hotel has a great jacuzzi. The only thing that did not work properly was the WiFi access in the conference rooms. If you have a Guatemalan cell phone, the signal is very poor in the room I stayed (603).... More

Camino Real is first class from the moment you step into the lobby. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, and the bathrooms have every possible amenity - plus some you never even thought of. The beds are amazingly soft and comfortable, giving me the best night's sleep I've ever had a hotel. You have to see the breakfast buffet to believe... More

We always stay here when we come to Antigua. Staff is excellent, rooms are very big with large, high ceilings. Staff is excellent. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to stay. Great location to everything.

My husband and I visited Antigua to attend a destination wedding. The Camino Real is one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. The staff is very courteous and willing to help. The hotel itself is gorgeous and although relatively new, fits in beautifully with the other colonial architecture. When you check in you are presented with a frothy... More

Camino Real Antigua Guatemala is a small hotel with a great team of employees and impeccable landscaping. The food is average but the ambience and service are exceptional. The proximity of the facility to major craft markets and historical buildings is an added advantage. I enjoyed my stay at this property

We did not stay at the Camino Real but dined there two evenings. Not only was the setting perfect (once on the veranda and the other inside) but the service was first class.
