My husband and I traveled to Antigua for our nephews wedding. We chose the Camino Real, and were very pleased with the hotel. The grounds were gorgeous, the room was spacious, and the bed was so wonderfully comfortable! The weekend brunch was fantastic, and not to be missed. I was aware of the extra daily cost for wifi, but was... More

TripAdvisor rated as #23 of 79 hotels in Antigua, I found the warm welcome and building/rooms that rival a 5-Star luxury hotel. Every conceivable amenity is available. Why, then, you may ask, did I rate Camino Real as only three? In a word, “greed.” Upon arrival of our 12-member Overseas Adventure Travel group, I learned that there is a $10... More

Looks good. Staff is not friendly and everything is extra - WiFi $10/day/device, room water $2.50, room coffee extra, breakfast is set menu with no changes, a second orange juice is extra. Expect to be nickle and dimed to death. It is a shame for a nice place but it leaves a very bad taste in your mouth.

I have visited this hotel before and was never charged for internet service, however I was visiting this hotel during the Christmas 2015 Holidays. I booked the hotel because it offered internet wifi service. Upon my arrival and after checking in I found I had no internet in my room so I asked the front desk why. They told me... More

This hotel is wonderful. We ere given excellent service even before we arrived! The hotel front desk went above and beyond for us during our travels in Guatemala and I am truly grateful for all their efforts on our behalf! Many Thanks!

Great place, nice grounds, wonderful spacious rooms, hot tub in garden. However wifi will cost you PER Day. It was free at our first hotel. Even coffee in room will cost you. Cab ride from here is $50 to airport. It was a bit cheaper at our first hotel.

We came to Antigua for the New Year's celebration for six nights with family members from the US. What a great time and wonderful hospitality from the people of Antigua. The Camino Real is really a very nice hotel, located only four blocks from the Central Park, so the location is perfect. Parking facility is ideal and convenient. Everything about... More

Found great promotion rate with Expedia at $120 and enjoying every bit of it..regular price quoted at front desk $160 so recommend booking with hotel search site like expedia. The women at front desk bit arrogant..they have to be reminded that their job is to provide best of service as guests pay their salaries. Rest of staff is great. Would... More

This property is a short walk from the center of action. The architecture and room decorating are truly unique. The food and service are excellent. The prices are reasonable and the bartenders go the distance to make your favorite drink. Do not hesitate to book this oasis in Antigua.

I loved Camino Real, rooms are beautiful and setting is charming and warm. Hotel staff are great and customer service was excellent. Was there for a conference and spent most of the day working with little time to visit the city. This made me appreciate the Hotel even more as downtime in my room or at the bar, or in... More
