Above and beyond any hotel. Be sure to ask Mario about Antigua and Guatemala history. He is a wealth of information from museums to shopping to volcanoes and even traveling other areas of Guatemala and Central America. You will really get an insiders view to the area by staying here. English spoken clearly.

We stayed here because Casa Cristina was full, but would come back. If you know what you are doing in Antigua and just need a place to stay, this is your place. Great value for money and helpful staff :)

Casa Luna is not a hotel per se. You're really in an extended part of the family's home, which may be a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for. Mario, the owner, has just had his elderly mother, his daughter, and his adorable toddler granddaughter move in with him. Grandma is an excellent cook, and on Sunday... More

Clean, quiet, low prices, great location, free wifi that works in the rooms, and a very helpful owner. What more could you ask for in a hotel? NOTE: Google maps has the location wrong. Casa Luna is on Callejon Camposeco a block from La Merced Church (the big yellow church on Calle 1 with the yellow arch over 5th Avenue).

We received a recommendation to stay here by friends. The best advice ever. This is an above and beyond value for money place. The rooms are clean and very nice. We had the upper room with a nice view to the Volcano. But the best part about this place is the owner, Marco. He was always so very helpful and... More

I actually stayed at casa luna in May 2010 but have been wondering all these years if if was still around. I'm glad to see that it is because Mario is a gem. He is honest and will help you out wherever he can. I was in Antigua for almost 2 weeks and Mario's place was affordable, clean and well... More

As referenced in other reviews, Mario (owner) really makes staying at Casa Luna worth it! The price is excellent given the location and the comfortable rooms. We stayed in the room on the roof and I highly recommend it! It's quiet up there, roomy, the internet works within the room, and the view is great! If you have a lot... More

I am a US national who lives and works in Quetzaltenango (Xelka), Guatemala. When I have reason to be in the capital, I like to stay in Antigua because of the long distance required to travel from my home to the city. I have used the Hospedaje Casa Luna each trip as my "home away from home" for over two... More
