I attended an annual conference held at this resort. I found staff to be very polite and helpful. My 9th floor room was an odd-shaped, corner room but was quiet and had a beautiful view of the golf course. The King-size bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could use some updating but everything was very clean. The conference provided meals and the... More

We stayed at The Shores Condos that are managed by GTR and Spa. It was a decent visit. A quiet visit with decent amenities and a decent view. The condos are smaller in size and are pretty basic. The thermostat and vents had some weird tweaks to them, but once you experimented through trial and error you can figure out... More

We had a room with a view of the parking lot . It was quiet, clean, fairly comfortable. However, the bathroom lighting was dark. Could see where they took lights out (probably to save energy). Needed more light. Couldn't see anything in the shower. The fan had been removed in the bathroom, too. Energy efficient bulbs in the bedroom were... More

When I think of the word "resort" I think of nice, upscale rooms and amenities. We stayed in the tower room 865 which is right next to the elevator and you can hear everyone who is talking right outside of your door. This was one of their corner rooms, so be aware of that. The bed was comfortable and the... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. It was our first time visiting the Traverse City area and this hotel came highly recommended from other Michiganders. My husband actually was in town for a conference and I decided to tag along. When we checked into the hotel, the front desk receptionist that was checking... More

It had been ten years since my last stay at the resort. I was extremely pleased with the accommodations in the Towers section of the resort. The resort is complete from excellent food to first rate golf and business resources. I would recommend this hotel to any business professional and family.

Our stay was for only one night, and our room was like we were the step-children of the resort. It was in the hotel basement (1st floor) It had on of the smallest hotel bathrooms we'd ever seen. Think of a 2nd bathroom in a 1960s ranch, and you've got the picture. Among issues, the door to the bathroom opened... More

We stayed here at a conference for a couple of nights, first time in the main hotel in several years. While the rooms could use an updating, the complex itself was quite nice. The huge lobby area is very clean, and the fitness area and pool/spa is very large and provides a nice place for kids. The hotel was very... More

We just got back yesterday. It is still very nice but is showing signs of aging. The one major issue I have and it is being picky, is the towels in the suites. They are cheap towels that you would see in a Motel 6. Thin and not soft at all. When we checked in there was a dirty glass... More

When checking in, there were several receptionists and a line, between registering someone and waiting for the next person in line to come forward, receptionists would answer the phone and transfer the person off to scheduling, I assume. While I was registering, the receptionist answered the phone WHILE she was talking to me. She proceeded to have a two-minute conversation,... More
