We stayed here 2 nights while visiting relatives near Torch Lake. Acme is really almost in Traverse City, but without all the traffic and noise. Check in was friendly, informative, and quick. It was surprisingly value priced! Parking area was well lit. Beds were wonderful ~ pillows were even better. (four per bed ~both firm and soft) I typically don't sleep well in hotels ~ not the case here. The room was VERY clean and fresh smelling ~ and very relaxing ~ sleep came easy.... more

We stayed Feb 22-24, 2008. The staff at this hotel was Super friendly. Because we are Platmium members with Holiday Inn we were offered a room upgrade. The hotel was absolutely deserted when we stayed here - in fact, we may have been the only guests. That said it was cheap, clean, comfortable and well located. more

I wrote a review on this previously but for some reason it was not posted. Anyway, this hotel was filthy. The lobby, hallways,elevators and rooms looked like they had not been vacuumed thoroughly since the hotel opened. I think housekeeping did a perfunctory job just to get it over with. The hotel is attractive, clean, has a nice pool, etc., and I would stay there again for all these reasons. Glitches: It's hard to find because the hotel is situated behind another building and the sign is not quite visible from the road.
