can you imagine.....being able to stay on Nantucket for less than 50 dollars a night!! Walk to Surfside beach, bike to town, Cisco brewery, Sconset....breakfast included! It sounds too good to be true, but if you can share a bathroom and sleep in a dorm, you are good to go!

After my second year of staying here, I am still in love with this place! and definitely going back! If you love to bike, hike, swim, star gaze, have a campfire, meet amazing people and relax....this is the place! Friendly travelers share stories and experiences over coffee in the morning, or at sunset....one of my favorite vacations!

The great thing about staying in hostels is that you meet other travelers, you can stay for relatively inexpensive, you can cook your own meals if you choose, and you can often hitch a ride. Also hotels are often in great location, often historic structures, as is this one in old lifesaving building from 1873.

Stayed with my teenage daughter for long weekend. What a delight for first time in a youth hostel. Most of woman were older ( middle age) like me - professional and educated. Value cannot be beat! Don't expect luxury but do expect a great place for the price in an excellent spot near ocean in otherwise very expensive Nantucket! Only... More

We took a family trip to Nantucket. We stayed at the hostel 4 nights. Having never stayed at a Hostel it took a bit of getting accustomed to having such friendly travelers..from Paris, Canada, Maine and New York. Janice the manager was helpful, friendly and told us about the deals for Hostel Guest. We scored 15% off bikes at Easy... More

I have never delt with such rude and unprofessional staff in my life. I have stayed at this hostel 3 summers in a row with no issue but my last experience with cause me to never go back again. I booked this hostel 3 weeks ago and mentioned to the manger Janice I would not be getting in until 10pm.... More

Considering that we booked at the very last minute due to an impending storm which prompted cancellations, we consider ourselves lucky to have found this location. That being said, we are not accustomed to this shared kind of bathroom/bed/kitchen arrangement. After the culture shock we did find the people and families wonderful. The beds are meager, and of course there... More

A 42 person group of Girl Scouts and their moms stayed here for 2 nights on a bike trip to Nantucket. For many of us this was our first time staying in a hostel. It worked out well for the girls since there were two big rooms which we stayed in. One group stayed in the second building which had... More

This is a great place to stay, it has a community feel with a sense of privacy. We take this trip every year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. When we stay at the Nantucket Hostel, we are treated like family! Janet, "The Hostel Mom" keeps everything clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included, and usually consists of oatmeal, yogurt, homemade... More

Nantucket lodging can be crazy expensive so this hostel is a great way to keep within a budget especially if you're traveling by yourself. It's clean and the staff is great. Available to you is a big kitchen and some other odds and ends like a barbecue and beach chairs. Your linens and a towel are provided during your stay.... More
