Had booked into family suite for 4 nights. On first night found that the twin beds were absolutely infested w/bed bugs..... too late that night to move. With our absolute insistence that we could not stay in either of the bedrooms they moved us to upstairs rooms. Apologies were abysmal. Breakfast next morning equally horrific-no service in kitchen-not a clean... more

I can't recommend you stay here, despite the great name, pretty sign and quaint exterior. We had a room on the first floor. The most noticeable thing about the room is that the bathroom is *tiny* - hardly room to turn around. The windows were painted shut and the only air flow possible is through the air conditioner (which was... more

Incredibly disappointing - first, although it looks like a lovely property from the outside, the inside is shabby and the the furniture and carpets in the common areas are filthy. The rooms are ridiculously small - the beds take up the entire space and in our room on the third floor you could not even stand up in most parts... more

I couldn't wait to write a review for the Scallop Inn, due to the horrible experience. If I only knew that when you pay close to 200 dollars a night you get a bad experience. The housekeepers were great. The innkeeper was very rude and moody. The Scallop inn did not have air, and it was very hot. The small... more

I wanted to stay here based on looks alone as I would be staying only one night and just needed a place to sleep. My teenaged son & I had an attic room with twin beds and it was charming which is what... more

well... location: the house is really pretty and located in the center of nantucket, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and the centre. room: the room we had was very small. so small, that we even had problems to find space for our two suitcases. the bed, which is quite nice although, takes most of the rooms space.... more

I stayed in the Scallop Inn which is the connected to the Periwinkle and the garden outback is shared between the two. It was a great location and although small and very basic it was clean and the staff were very pleasant. I thought the accommodation was very cheap and personally I thought the continental breakfast was a bonus -... more

I just returned and couldn't wait to write this review. My stay really made me appreciate my other B & B experiences, because this one was aweful. My girlfriend hadn't been back to Nantucket in 8 years and said the island has gotten A LOT more crowded. They have more ferrys, more cars, and more high speed ferrys with more... more

Wonderful Inn and great location. We were in the cottage and had the single rooms #1 and #3, perfect. Had the entire dining area during breakfast and getting ready. The innkeepers were excellent. more
