I had the good fortune to stay at the Periwinkle earlier this month for a friend's wedding. The accommodation although smaller than you would normally expect, was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and made you feel very welcome. A light continental breakfast is available consisting of muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit. Coffee and Tea... More

Love, love, love these quaint Inn's! The innkeepers made me feel like an old friend on my return to this lovely island. Can't beat walking out your door on Water Street and being less than a minute to all the action in town. Nantucket Island has old world charm with cobblestone streets and historical influences everywhere. This is my second... More

Stayed at the Perwinkie B&B overnight mid-week for a photo shoot of the island. Could not have been at a better place - the innkeeper was over the top accommodating, extremely kind, and made the stay wonderful! The staff there was also wonderful, very kid and helpful. The location is perfect, just steps from Main street and the town area,... More

We were in Nantucket for a wedding and stayed at the Periwinkle 3 nights at the end of August. This charming Inn is near the Whaling Museum and very convenient to all the great shops, restaurants and bars in the downtown area. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms very quaintly decorated, though on the small side, though... More

My daughter & I stayed at the Periwinkle/Scallop Inn for 10 days & it was delightful. We have been returning back here for several years & we have never been disappointed. The breakfasts are a perfect balance with Wicked Island Bakery muffins, blueberry yogurt parfaits, fresh strawberries & blueberries, coffee/orange juice each morning followed by homemade chocolate chips cookies as... Periwinkle is located a block from the Whaling Museum, two blocks from the ferry. A quick walk to town. Actually, IN town. So you'll hear the double toot of the ferry as it backs away from the island. A sad sound. You'll also hear: the rumble of cars passing over the cobblestones just outside; happy revelers on the sidewalk on... More

My husband and I and our friends had the opportunity to stay at the Periwinkle B&B for an extended weekend. Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. There was great care taken by the staff to provide personal care to our stay. A call was placed to us on the morning of our arrival from the manager Nancy to... More

We have lived in MA since 2000 however this was our first trip to Nantucket. We went there to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Staying at the Periwinkle gave us a glimpse of history meeting modern day. The historic charm of the original home was evident in the look and feel of it. Yes to some people the rooms might... More

Thank you for your kind words! Especially for the noticing the "makeup" towels - the owner's brilliant idea - and the yogurt parfaits. We hope to see you again soon. More

I was NEVER a Bed and Breakfast kind of person until my stay at the Periwinkle Guest House. The room felt so homey like staying at Grandma's house. The rooms have private bath which makes it nice. Everyone was so friendly. It was very clean and they have a great continental breakfast which included fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit with yogert,... More
