I keep returning back to this wonderful B&B. The inn is quaint, perfect location, reasonably priced, extremely accommodating. It has had the same owner for many years & the same cleaning staff. They are both awesome! Breakfast is included each morning--fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, juice & hot chocolate. Each afternoon cookies & fresh fruit can be found... More

So happy that you were comfortable and enjoyed our Scallop Inn for the Nantucket Stroll. it was festive and fun as always. The Festival of Trees @ the Whaling Museum was spectacular, and just one block away. Everyone seemed to enjoy the decorations and lights nearby in town. The restaurants were overflowing. Hope to see you again in 2016. More

I first visited The Periwinkle over a decade ago and it continues as my first choice for an overnight stay on island, typically once or twice a year. The inn is clean, convenient and a great deal for the price. Gail, Sonya and all the ladies are so kind and welcoming and a pleasure to see each visit. The backyard... More

On the positive side, the bed we had was GREAT. Very good sleeping. No street noise, etc. The biggest negative was breakfast. Some places take great pride in their breakfast... others put up the minimum that can pass for breakfast. Periwinkle falls into the latter category. The room was good... location was good... hostess was fantastic.... but the breakfast, off-season,... More

Stayed at the Scallop Inn next door. Well located in town and nice and clean. Innkeeper Gail was pleasant and helpful. Kitchen area was well set up with coffee and and a good continental breakfast. Common bathroom facilities were very small.

So glad that you enjoyed our convenient location to town. The 1st floor common bathrooms may be small, but being a split bath,( meaning shower room & powder room) we feel that it offers more flexibility for our guests. Happy that our Greek yogurt parfait w/fresh fruit & muffins was pleasant for your stay. hope to see you again soon. More

Cute on the outside. Located in a great part of town within walking distance to everywhere. The interior could use some updating. I was out and about all day and evening, so didn't spend much time in my room, so I was okay with it. The backyard had lots of furniture in it if you wanted to sit outside and... More

Great that the Inn met your basic needs of location/light breakfast & friendly atmosphere. We provide Wi-Fi & A/C & other modern amenities along with an old style B & B atmospere in an 1800's house. Gail More

Charming and well appointed B&B in the heart of town. Great walking to shops, restaurants and wharf areas. Staff was lovely and very accommodating. Not a hot breakfast but yummy muffins and fruit with yogurt and coffee/tea selections. Clean and very comfortable bed, small bathroom but worked for me. Room with a chair to sit and relax or you could... More

Wonderful to hear that you had a pleasant vacation @ the Periwinkle Inn. We have a huge garden out back so that you can do your own thing, read in your room, enjoy breakfast in the little Cafe' , meet people from all over the place, or lounge in the sun. Our beds are really comfy, some say the best... More

The Inn was a nice place to stay: right in town, near the ferry stops, clean, and comfortable. I had a shared bathroom/shower room, and it was fine. The backyard offered deck chairs for lounging in the sun, and had bags and towels prepared for beach trips. Breakfasts were great!

We actually stayed in the Scallop Inn, which is next door to the Periwinkle and operated as though they're a single hotel. Nantucket hotel prices in August are ridiculous, so $225 was a steal, even though we knew that it required sharing a bathroom with two other rooms. However, the bathroom itself was incredibly outdated. The sink had two different... More

Glad you enjoyed our amenities provided and our reasonable prices. August was a whirlwind of everyone wanting to check in early to enjoy the Nantucket experience. Thank you for your feedback. It has been noted & passed on to the staff and owner. Especially since we pride ourselves on our cleanliness. The Scallop Inn is an old-fashioned pensione' cottage w/shared... More

Enjoyed my stay very much. Location was the best, near and between everything to do and see. Transportation nearby terrific. Facility was wonderful, very clean, friendly and food available just like home. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a more affordable place to stay in Nantucket. Gail was very extending and concerned about the comfort of her guests.

Can't ask for a better Nantucket experience. A very quint, clean B&B with an extremely warm, helpful, and welcoming staff. It is terrific to hear that we were able to help you with local knowledge and make your stay on Nantucket pleasant @ the Periwinkle Inn. People are surprised as they walk out back to the size of our garden for them to relax in so close to town. Don’t be a stranger, Nantucket will lure you back. Gail/Mgr More
