We spent three nights at the Hawthorn House in May. It was the perfect place for us to stay. Comfortable and clean rooms, helpful staff, great rates and an awesome location. There isn't a restaurant but they provided a voucher for breakfast at an in-town cafe. One day we picked up some snacks and Cisco Brewery beers from the market... More

Kind of a last minute trip to Nantucket in June necessitate us finding a room that was below $300 for the night. Hawthorn House fit that bill ($125), but we were worried why it was so inexpensive at that time of year. Well located down the street from the Whaling Museum, and a short walk to downtown. The owner was... More

We recently stayed at the Hawthorn House for our anniversary trip. We couldn't have asked for much more. You can't beat the price or location. Wasn't fancy but was very nice. The breakfast voucher were a plus. Perfect for us.

With very nice owners. Compared with other properties on the Island, this is a very fair deal. We kept our boat at the Boat Basin so it was a nice alternative to staying on the boat, especially when the weather wasn't that great

I stayed in Room 5, at the back of the house, with bath across the common area. My room had a sweet private balcony, a comfy bed, fridge and plenty of closet space. The hosts were there if I needed them, and other guests were friendly. Vouchers for breakfast led me to discover charming bakeries near by. A wonderful experience!... More

My wife and I stayed at this very centrally located B&B for 3 days. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean and had a TV. We enjoyed the coffee maker with all sorts of varieties of coffee and tea available. We were fine with the vouchers for breakfast as it gave one a chance... More

My husband just stayed at the Hawthorn House. It's in a very convenient location, right in town. The rooms are very clean. My complaint is the noise outside. We didn't go to bed early, but when we did there was so much noise on the street. In the very early morning the garbage trucks are out nesting you don't need... More

We thank this reviewer for bringing the matter regarding the A/C unit in her room to our attention. Unbeknownst to us the unit had retained some water from the hurricane that recently passed by and indeed was making noise inconsistent with normal operation. This was soon remedied with a simple tilt of the unit. We wish this reviewer had brought... More

Exactly as promised a nice room in the middle of everything. The breakfast portion of the B&B is around the corner but can't complain about the bakery. The blueberry muffins are amazing. Hawthorne House is a perfect location and setup if you spend time out and about as it allows you to drop by for a testy or to drop... More

I have been coming to Nantucket for almost 30 years. When I discovered Hawthorn House, it became my home away from home. It has everything you could want for your island stay. Hawthorn House is a classic Nantucket Inn with nice, traditional furnishings and very clean, cozy and comfortable rooms, all with private baths. It is very centrally located -... More

I find it difficult to respond to reviews that flatter us in such glowing terms. We really appreciate you taking the time to review Hawthorn House in so kindly a fashion... and now I must turn away from my screen because I'm blushing crimson. Thank you Rebecca... come back soon. More
