This was our second time staying at the Century House. We liked it so much the first time we stayed we added another night. They welcomed us with cookies and refreshing drinks that were available to help yourself in their beautiful sitting room. Our room was very comfortable, and we spent a quite a bit of time relaxing in it.... More

We stayed at Century House last summer, and it was a wonderful time! Location is terrific, so close to the middle of town. Decor is beautiful and eclectic, in the common areas full of art by artists commissioned to paint Nantucket. The breakfasts are fantastic! I wish I could come down to my own kitchen and have such a spread... More

We viisited our daughter and son-in-law in Boston for a couple of weeks recently and they took us to Nantucket for the weekend. We stayed in the Century House, in two rooms which opened from a private passage-way so that we were quite private. (Except I did hear some conversation from the room on the other side to us, but... Oh, if only I could have stayed in the virtual Century House instead of the real one! The website is a dream. Pretty, quaint, tasteful, charming, and SO promising. The reality, however, is a drear and dreadful experience. And at the end of this essay, I shall tell you how much it cost, but I advise you to read this... More

I dream of JeanE and her wonderful house on Nantucket Island. She is the perfect hostess (although, as she admits herself, she talks so much, she'll run out of words one of these days!). Our room was small but perfectly formed, with access to the front porch with its 24 hour water and coffee. In the mornings a buffet breakfast... More

The accommodations were perfect. The staff was accommodating. interesting, and knowledgeable. Great location in town- we walked to the restaurants, shopping and whale museum from the Century House . Breakfasts were great - a fabulous place. We'll be back! Sam and Marina, MD.

A quaint inn, with keen attention to detail, both inside and out. Lots of outdoor seating to sit and relax , with tea coffee, cold drinks, delicious snacks available all day. Very engaging innkeeper, very welcoming. Great breakfast with lots of selections to please everyone. Our room on the third floor, while very comfortably appointed, was on the compact side,... More

My significant other, my son & I stayed at the Century House recently. I give it my highest recommendation. It its without comparison to any other place I have stayed for a New England Summer vacation. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the Island. To start with it is a great location. Close to the shopping, restaurants & beaches,... More

Wife and I spent three nights in a rare getaway without the kids. When I made reservations, I asked if it were possible to have a room on first floor because of mobility issues and they took care of it. Took a taxi from the ferry (it is a little far with luggage in tow). There was no one to... More

We loved our stay at Century House. The host and hostess have been operating the Inn for many years, and love people. The Inn is beautiful -- filled with artwork, photographs and books. It's the little details that make the difference - the fresh baked cookies that are put out in the afternoon, and the stacks of beach towels that... More
