I recently spent two nights at the Chestnut House. We spent the first night losing sleep because a broken Carbon Monoxide detector in the hallway beeped every few seconds all night long. When I returned the next afternoon I asked the manager if had been fixed. She said rudely, "You don't hear it, do you?" She then proceeded to tell... More

A quaint and cozy place right in the middle of it all. We were very well taken care of. The suite on the first floor was perfect for the family with privacy for all. The only downside were the vouchers for the coffee shop for breakfast, but otherwise we will come again.

Instead of breakfast you get a $5 voucher toward a croissant or muffin at The Bean around the corner. I would have preferred an option with some protein to start the day....everything else about Chestnut House is convenient and charming; especially the price!

Staying here in the off season is a real treat. Rates are lower and town is not so crowded. The stay was quiet, clean and comfortable. But the location is great, right in town, so it's easy to get to great restaurants and shops.

Very convenient location! Great owners. We have been staying here every summer for many years and always look forward to going back. Most rooms are two room suites. We have our favorite rooms. Won't be disappointed.

Thank you so much for such a loving, caring place to stay. You and your daughter were like family to me. The accommodations were absolutely perfect for me and my two sons. We slept late as it was such a pleasant, peaceful location but right in the heart of everything. We rented bikes and had the best time ever catching... More

I've stayed at this B&B several times, and the location is AWESOME (you can hear delivery trucks in the morning though). It's a super easy walk (with your luggage) from any of the boat docks (don't rent a car - it's really hard to park in town). The owner has handmade rugs, blankets, and paintings throughout the house which gives... More

This is a B&B without the breakfast. Instead, they give you coupons which are good at 2 local restaurants. We thought this was a benefit, so that instead of getting the typical continental breakfast served at Nantucket B&Bs, we could get a hot breakfast and pay just a bit more. (The French toast at Arno's is outstanding.) However, if you... More

The owners of this B&B has been in business here for over 30 years. Rooms are nice. Very close to every thing in old town. I would stay in the main house rather than the cottage on the side. better ans less money.

I recently stayed here with my wife and 2 children, ages 9 and 11 and our Nanny. This is our 2nd year in a row staying here and we find it perfect for our needs. The house is located right in the middle of Nantucket town, which is very convenient for restaurants and shopping. The owners are very helpful with suggestions.... More
