This is a B&B without the breakfast. Instead, they give you coupons which are good at 2 local restaurants. We thought this was a benefit, so that instead of getting the typical continental breakfast served at Nantucket B&Bs, we could get a hot breakfast and pay just a bit more. (The French toast at Arno's is outstanding.) However, if you... More

The owners of this B&B has been in business here for over 30 years. Rooms are nice. Very close to every thing in old town. I would stay in the main house rather than the cottage on the side. better ans less money. More

I recently stayed here with my wife and 2 children, ages 9 and 11 and our Nanny. This is our 2nd year in a row staying here and we find it perfect for our needs. The house is located right in the middle of Nantucket town, which is very convenient for restaurants and shopping. The owners are very helpful with suggestions.... More

The Chestnut House is a simple, lovely, quaint and comfortable accommodations. The best part: situated near the heart of beautiful downtown Nantucket Island. The two owners, Jerry & Jeannette, are gracious hosts. As a matter of fact, they are talented artists as well. The overall experience exceeds our expectations and if we go back to Nantucket, certainly the Chestnut House... More

My wife and I try to go every year. Cozy, hospitable friendly and convenient. The negative reviews must come from folks who issue negative reviews everywhere they go. Robert in Virginia More

It was surprisingly difficult to find reasonably-priced accommodations for a family with children for a long July weekend on Nantucket. We resorted to a Nantucket hotel service to find Chestnut House and made our final decision based on TripAdvisor reviews. This is a quaint old house with a lot of character in a very convenient location. If you want the... More

My parents and I stayed at the Chestnut House last July, and it was absolutely adorable. The Interior was very quaint and old-fashioned; it reminded me of my grandmother's house. The woman who owns the Chestnut House is very sweet and helpful, though her daughter who works as a maid there was quite bitter and cold. We stayed in a... More

I just returned from spending 5 days at the Chestnut House in Nantucket Mass. What a wonderful experience. The large two room suite with large private bath is extremely well appointed and sunny. A perfect Inn for romance- get away or family vacation. Our Inn Keepers Jeannette and Jerry Carl were perfect- knowing the environment; the events on the Island... More

We just spent 1 night at The Chestnut House and from the moment we walked through the door we knew we had made a poor choice. The house literally stunk. That old musty smell. Two of us had headaches much of the time we were there due to the smell. The house is decorated like your great, great Aunt Edna's.... More

If you're going to Nantucket and want to be in town this is definitely the best place. Central to everything, beautifully decorated by artisans and hosts, Jeanette and Jerry Carl (ask to see his rugs) you couldn't find more gracious hosts on the island. Comfortable, cozy and affordable. It's a home away from home. Can't wait to go back. Don't... More
