This was our ninth season and we've come back every year to Beachside except for our first year when we rented a house in 'Sconset. The advantages are its location and vicinity to Brant Point light, Jettie's Beach, White Elephant Sunday brunch, Children's Beach and downtown. It's right on the NRTA busline. They replaced the carpeting this year with laminate... more
Stayed in one of the 3 suites. Rooms were average, recently renovated. Location is excellent, walk to town- on the shuttle line. Pool is small. Free breakfast, but be prepared for tons of families with little kids. A great location for young families. Would not recommend for couples looking for quiet. Area needing improvement-cleaning and service. Room had numerous signs... more
I just got back from a very pleasant Nantucket trip, it was half business, half pleasure. I had to find a hotel in the last minute and did lost of research, including lots here on TA. I read most of the bad reviews on The Beachside, and at first avoided even considering this location, based on the reviews. Then after... more
We found the Beachside to be a terrific value, considering its proximity to town and beaches. We were fortunate enough to find a terrific deal on the Beachside website for a single night stay ($189 per night). Being Massachusetts residents, we jumped on the opportunity to stay overnight on Saturday and do some exploring over a weekend. After booking, I... more
I realize prices in Nantucket are out of control in July but I can't help thinking what I could get for $700/night (with taxes elsewhere). We did stay in a "suite" which meant a living room with two beds and a fold out sofa with a desk and a TV and a small add'l bedroom with a king bed and... more
Arriving - Quick checkin; Friendly staff in person; Room was clean. Sofa bed had used sheets and blankets. Yuk! Fortunately we caught the staff before they closed at 11PM for the evening (after that you have to call a number for an emergency). Room condition - Bathroom door was horrible. Had to slam it in order to shut properly. Missing... more
It is Nantucket and it is expensive (what isn't on teh island) but it was one of the few in town accomodations that accepted less than a 3 night stay. The Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The nice things about this hotel are its location, parking, pool and AC. The continental breakfast was... more
I have stayed at several of the hotels on the island and this is so nice, quiet, clean and reasonable considering it is Nantucket! Staff does whatever they can to make things even better. Breakfast is great, pool is clean and well maintained. Can't think of a darn think bad about it except they can't control the weather! Keep up... more
We sailed to Nantucket during the annual Figawi over Memorial Day and booked this room so the crew could stay on the boat. I booked through Expedia and the ONLY option was $400 a night. Thought this was a little high thinking rooms were not available during this popular weekend but when I checked in even the staff couldn't understand... more
