We stayed at the Barnacle Inn for three nights earlier this month and loved every minute. The inn is like a home from home for us Brits with a lot of original charming features but much better and friendlier service ! There's a great communal lounge and outside porch and garden area where guests congregate over coffee and cookies and... More

We walked off of the HyLine, and, after a five-minute hike up Main Street, and down a scenic, manicured side street, we discovered Barnacle Inn. We were welcomed like family by Susan, who showed us to our immaculate rooms and showed us the inn's collection of beach chairs/umbrellas (which are free for guests to borrow). Over the course of our... More

We just got back from a 4-night stay at the Barnacle Inn - an old-style inn (in the best sense of the word) just a stones throw from town. Located across the street from St. Paul's - beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows. The property is set back from the street with nice sitting areas on the lawn. Great breakfasts of... More

Family members, who have been coming to Nantucket for generations, recommended this excellent inn. We were in town for a wedding so our days and nights were filled with activities with little time for our own exploring. The Barnacle Inn was a great "home base" for us. We loved so much about this place - where does one begin? The... More

My wife & I spent an extended weekend on Nantucket. The Inn is in a great location, just off Main Street. Suzie is a very good host and husband Phil is an excellant cook. The breakfast's were delicious and the cookies at night were a treat. Some rooms have a private bath and with some rooms you share a bath... More

Family owned for 2 generations this is a well run inn. Furnishings are like when the '57 Chevy was new and Mad Men ran wild on Madison Ave. it works! The place is spotless and needs no repair. Tasteful in a homey way like going to your favorite Aunt and Uncle. Great and free WiFi since there are no TVs... More

I was travelling alone in low budget. Though the Barnacle Inn is not very cheap, it was the CHEAPEST place I found during the season I was travelling. And in the end, I didn't mind paying extra, because the place is totally worth it. My room was very PRETTY, COZY, vintage-like, with a bathroom for my own. Both the room... More

This was my first stay at The Barnacle Inn but not my first stay on Nantucket. I have stayed at a number of the local bed & breakfast inns and this was probably the nicest one I've had the pleasure of staying in. The proprietors, Suzie & Phil, couldn't be nicer. The inn is very near the center of town... More

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The Barnacle Inn is a step bACK in time and a perfect island retreat. Not only are the prices super reasonable (ESPECIALLY for Nantucket standards!) but the rooms are quaint BEDrooms... a great place to lay your head and truly has the old school feeling with their rustic furniture and big porcelian tubs! You are... More

We had a wonderful time at the Barnacle Inn during a mostly rainy week. There's plenty to do around town no matter what the weather has to offer and even more if you rent a car. Suzie and Phil were wonderful hosts and their inn has that homey touch. We enjoyed chatting with them about the island in the morning... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, even if the weather wasn't perfect there is still so much to do. The homemade cookies right out of the oven are known to brighten any rainy day. Looking forward to seeing you again as well. More
