I was travelling alone in low budget. Though the Barnacle Inn is not very cheap, it was the CHEAPEST place I found during the season I was travelling. And in the end, I didn't mind paying extra, because the place is totally worth it. My room was very PRETTY, COZY, vintage-like, with a bathroom for my own. Both the room... More

This was my first stay at The Barnacle Inn but not my first stay on Nantucket. I have stayed at a number of the local bed & breakfast inns and this was probably the nicest one I've had the pleasure of staying in. The proprietors, Suzie & Phil, couldn't be nicer. The inn is very near the center of town... More

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The Barnacle Inn is a step bACK in time and a perfect island retreat. Not only are the prices super reasonable (ESPECIALLY for Nantucket standards!) but the rooms are quaint BEDrooms... a great place to lay your head and truly has the old school feeling with their rustic furniture and big porcelian tubs! You are... More

We had a wonderful time at the Barnacle Inn during a mostly rainy week. There's plenty to do around town no matter what the weather has to offer and even more if you rent a car. Suzie and Phil were wonderful hosts and their inn has that homey touch. We enjoyed chatting with them about the island in the morning... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, even if the weather wasn't perfect there is still so much to do. The homemade cookies right out of the oven are known to brighten any rainy day. Looking forward to seeing you again as well. More

I went to Nantucket for the first time in September with a college friend. We stayed at the Barnacle Inn and it was wonderful! The beds and sheets were the most comfortable I have ever experienced while traveling. I had never stayed at a B&B before and couldn't have been happier with my choice. We had two bedrooms with a... The Barnacle Inn and the folks who work there were wonderful, considerate and helpful. The young lady who greeted us asked us if we were there for any special reason, and I told her in fact it was out honeymoon. We had not had the time or money or babysitters for the kids in our melded family so we had... More

We are so happy you finally got to enjoy your honeymoon. Thank you for the kind words about our Inn. Our front patio area is one of our favorite things about the Barnacle, it is so nice to see our guests sitting in the sun enjoying Nantucket. We hope to see you back here! More

Glad to finally have a chance to stay at this adorable B&B. It's very refreshing "old style Nantucket" in a sea of new trendy boutique B&Bs. Loved the cute decor, from the lighthouse bedspread to the Claire Murray rugs. My favorite was the white ruffle curtains on all the windows...made it seem very homey. You do seem very at home... We just spent several wonderful days on Nantucket. After hours touring the island on bikes and time spent on one of the many beautiful beaches, it's great to come back to the Barnacle Inn. Just off Main Street, this Inn takes you back in time. The owners, Phil & Suzie Kiendl take great pride in greeting guest and making them... More

I stayed one night at this inn and it was perfect. The room was very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming. Perfect breakfast with yougurt, fruit and homemade muffins. The chocolate chip cookies home baked in the afternoon for a snack were fabulous! Great value for a lovely stay on Nantucket!

My husband and I just returned from a four day (too short) visit- our third year in a row- with previous visits in past years. We have always enjoyed the location, the low-key vibe and consistent care and attention given by both generations of owners, but this last visit left us in awe of just how much attention Phil, Suzi,...
