We arrived in Nantucket one gorgeous Friday afternoon in late May and were greeted warmly be the innkeeper, Skye. After a stroll around town, we settled on her beautiful, wraparound veranda for a glass and to enjoy the lovely light, trees and birdsong that surrounded us. When was the last time you went to a bed and breakfast--or hotel, for... More

We had a fantastic trip to Nantucket because of the Martin House! It was really convenient to beaches, shopping, Town, and restaurants...we did not bring a car to the Island and were able to walk everywhere. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, and breakfast each morning was great. I would most definitely stay there again.

I needed a last minute room on a busy Stroll Weekend on Nantucket and found a single bed with a shared bath at the Martin House Inn, a Bed and Breakfast. My room and bath were simple, and priced accordingly at $125 to make a decent value for ACK. The other rooms looked lovely. The best thing about the MHI... More

We adored this Inn our final stop on a tour of New England, it was all I hoped it would be and more - Skye is a warm and crazy host who knows the island, her guests and the inn.Our room was small but stylishly furnished and cosy, nice bedding and a comfy mattress. The breakfasts are delicious and the tips... More

I've stayed at the Martin House Inn 6 times over the last 4 years and I've never been disappointed. The small (but nicely decorated) single rooms on the third floor are an incredible value at $125 a night in high season -- if you don't mind sharing a bath with a few other guests. You can easily spend hundreds per... More

I just returned from a 5-night stay at the Martin House. What can I say except that I miss it already. I was traveling with one of my friends so we stayed in room #33 which has two twin beds. The room was clean and homey. I felt like I was staying in my old room at home. The inn... More

Skye, the Inn-keeper has to be the best on the Island. She was very personably and helpful with dining suggestions and island ventures. The house was very clean, quaint, nicely decorated and a great location. The room was very nice with a newly remodeled bathroom. Breakfasts and afternooon snacks were delicious to say the least. But could also explain the... More

The grace notes at the Martin House Inn (such as the fabulous fresh-baked breakfast treats, luxurious bedding, afternoon refreshments, and beautifully kept gardens) combined with the charm of the historic building and the warm hospitality of our innkeeper, Skye, to make it a wonderful stay on Nantucket for me and the group of artist friends I came with. Because ours... More
