Everything about The Carlisle House made for a GREAT vacation! Heather has created such a relaxing, inviting retreat for vacationers to a busy island. From the plush towels provided for the beach to the homemade baked goods each morning it is a 5 star experience all around. Be sure to ask for her banana muffins in particular :) I wouldn't... More

We recently stayed at the Carlisle House as part of an overnighter trip to Nantucket. The innkeeper, Heather, was so helpful in putting together not just a stay at the Carlisle House, but a whole experience for us. She worked with my admittedly quirky requests for, for example, champagne delivered to the room late at night while we were out,... More

Although we stayed at the Inn through a category 1 hurricane, it was still a great time. Our hostess Heather never got frazzled or lost her composure through wind, rain and a black out. The place is charming and clean and a great location to the wondercul town center. Breakfast every morning on the porch was delicious! I travelled with... More

We stayed at the Carlisle House Inn in the Tuckernuck Room for our first visit to Nantucket. This vacation was completely magical and I feel like Nantucket is an absolute dream! The Tuckernuck Room was cozy, and most importantly, an excellent value for Nantucket in July! We had our own bathroom, which was a must. The room was small, but... More

I spent one month for business in this beautiful classical inn and Heather the Inn Keeper made me feel like family (without the chores of course;-). Check in and checkout was a breeze. when I forgot some luggage she made sure I got it. that is excellent service. The rooms varied in size but all were decorated with a historic... More

The perfect stay....amazing! Beautiful, charming, clean, historic, quiet, location...and of course the staff. Heather is the owner and she's the best, she personally greeted me and made sure my time here would be nothing but exceptional and comfortable. Thank you so much....I'll never stay anywhere else on this island.

We chanced upon the inn while searching for a(last minute) single room for our twenty something son to come out with us to Nantucket. The room he stayed in is twin bedded and just the right price in an otherwise prohibitively expensive area ~~ easy walk to town and Jetties beach. We stayed in a nearby motel but they certainly... My wife and I stayed in the Tom Nevers Room for a few days leading up the Fourth of July. Room was clean, had a nice air conditioner, and a very comfortable king sized bed with approximately 2,000 pillows. Very close to downtown. Around the corner from the fabled American Seasons Restaurant. We brought our bikes and there is a... More

I've stayed at the Carlie House Inn for the past three years while visiting Nantucket. It is one of the best values on the island particularly when factoring in location. Only a short walk, alongside the meticulously gardened residences on cobblestoned N. Water street. The town center, with all it has to offer, is close by yet far enough away.... More
