I have had the pleasure of staying at the Carlisle House on two different occasions, once in Polpis and once in Sankaty. Heather and her staff were very friendly and helpful, offering wonderful suggestions for sightseeing and dining. A delightful and endearing historic inn. Wonderful staff with an especially hospitable innkeeper. Very close to town, and yet private enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing weekend. I cannot wait to return!!! more

Charming B&B, close to town,great breakfast, quiet at night, comfortable bed. Heather, the owner couldn't have been more helpful. We meet wonderful people at breakfast and the Saturday wine and cheese gathering where Heather also joined us and had lots of suggestions for meals and activities. more

Not a good experience in all aspects. Cob webs, falling wall paper, terrible breakfest, and not the cleanest. Six nights to long. I will contact american express also. more
