great location, nice people, quintessential New England B&B, was there on business, want to go back and just relax someday, most suitable for single travellers or couples rather than children, lots of original character to building, breakfast very nice and lovingly prepared

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Maguire House for two nights over Presidents' Day weekend. Massachusetts was hit by a huge storm, and despite Terry and Paul generously offering to refund our stay if we cancelled, we decided to keep our reservation. I'm so glad we did! Terry and Paul upgraded us to the Wisteria Room at no extra... More

We spent our 39th anniversary here. It was perfect. Beautiful house, fantastic view over fields to a lake surrounded by hills with Mt. Monadnock on the skyline. Lots of space on the grounds for walking and enjoying the fields, woods, garden, vistas. Excellent breakfast, with the best scones I have tasted. We would definitely stay here again.

We traveled to the Maguire House in early October of 2014. We were on the east coast to visit Boston and then travel to see the beautiful fall colors. We have decided that the Maguire House and Terry ,Paul and Devin were the highlight of our whole holiday! The beauty and hominess that we were able to experience were beyond... More

Paul and Terry were great hosts, and their facilities are unlike anything I have experienced! The view from their terraced rear landscape is breathtaking and something many people never experience. I could not say enough great things about this spectacular B & B ...and the wonderful, accommodating people that run it. This was one of the top highlights of our... More

We loved our stay at The Maguire House B&B. We arrived to find a note on the door directing us to our room. Along the way we found a plate of homemade cookies in the dining room and instructions to enjoy them. The vista from the back porch was beautiful. We found it so relaxing to sit on the porch... This is a beautiful property in a wonderful setting, of which the owners have made the most. The house is an excellent historic property, very tastefully decorated. The amenities are outstanding, as are the breakfasts. The hosts were exceptionally gracious (even when traffic caused us to arrive much later than anticipated). Very thoughtful attention to details throughout (even a listing... More

We had the best time at The Maguire House B&B. Terry is a fantastic hostess and an amazing cook. We have stayed at several B&B's over the years and almost always had a disappointing experience. I can't thank Terry enough for turning that around for us! We loved the house, our bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I... More

My wife and I are world travelers. After 43 years together we've seen it all, the good and the bad. The Maguire House is the best B&B we've ever experienced. Everything about it--the setting, the decor, the peace and quiet, the stunning views over sweeping lawns in the foreground and a reservoir and mountains in the background, all the little... More

I couldn't have been more pleased with my 4-night stay at Maguire House. The grounds are gorgeous, the 18th Century house has been beautifully renovated and is kept in pristine condition, and Terry and Paul Maguire are genial and accommodating hosts. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order by Terry, who even bought a number of gluten-free... More
