My flight got in at 1am being delayed from Belgrade and the staff gave me the quickest and easiest reception! Excellent and friendly staff, great breakfast, and the hotel itself is exquisite and palatial. It's not the cheapest, but it's close to everything (museums, shopping and the old town) and in a nice quiet spot. Be careful of taxi drivers,... More

The hotel's strongest point is its location and views: even from the first floor bedrooms, you have an amazing view: you can see everything from Alexander's state to the old fortress, including of course the beautiful stone bridge. Another great point is breakfast: varied and delicious, including grilled vegetables, yoghourt, cheese, cured meat, sausages, eggs, fruits, etc. More a brunch... More

very good location but the hotel let itself down as there were issues with the room ie faulty heating and leaking shower which really did not work too well . Also the hotel closed its restaurant facilities for both days of our stay which for a 5 star hotel was unacceptable. The staff did try to resolve things but for... More

I'm writing the review from the business point of view. The Internet is free and its all over the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is reasonable considering the Balkan area with a lot of local food and cheese. nearby is the old market. and on the next river bank you can find new stores restaurants and coffee,... Agree with MerylinUk that location is great. It claims 5 star status but by Western European standards, it is 2 or 3 star. However I didn't pay a 5 star price (Euros 96 per night) so I have no real complaints. Room size was fine and adequately equipped (room 406) but still no English TV channels. Room maintenance was poor.... More

The Stone Bridge Hotel's location is by far the best in Skopje. It is located in the center of town between the old town and the newer more modern part of Skopje. Our room overlooked the Stone Bridge and the fortress. By western standards, the rooms are indeed tired, the bed was not super comfortable and the covers and pillows... More

Location is tops with regard to this Hotel. It is right on Stone Bridge and a short walk to the right of the hotel is the Old Town Turkish bazaar. I felt the Reception staff could have been slighty more helpful, when i asked for a map of the surrounding area i was told i could purchase one for Euro... More

Here's a travel trip for last minute hotel reservations in Eastern Europe. Regular travellers to parts of Eastern Europe may know that hotel staff are allowed very little discretion when it comes to negotiating rates. So it was that I had to stay unexpectedly in Macedonia, our car had developed problems and was not going to be able to make... More

We did not expect much for a hotel in Skopje and the Stone Bridge met our expectations. We opted for the 'diplomatic suite'. For less than 200 euros per night it was an adequate room. Our air-conditioner, door locks, and shower all broke during our stay. However, the staff was friendly and fixed everything ASAP (I think they are used... More

Generally, the hotel, service and the restaurant are good, but there are details that deducts points. For instance, if you try to book the hotel from the travel agency, it will be more expensive that from booking. I was paying more than one week a higher price, when there are other good hotels and cheaper in the city. After complaining... More
