On the plus side the breakfast in this hotel is good. Lots of it and a classic mix of cold meats, eggs, salad, voghurt. I was really surprised to find out that a hotel that carries 4 stars and costs 110 euros for a double room could be that bad. I stayed here last month. The service and staff was very helpful and generous. The rooms were pleasant and do have air conditioning, which was nice since the dry heat was terrible outside. The breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for, and was delicious. I would recommend this hotel if you ever visit Skopje. more

I had the misfortune of staying in the depressing Hotel Continental on two occasions in late May and early June, 2008. The building is more than a little tired looking. Stayed here for a week in the spring of 2008. Skopje was experiencing a heat wave - the hottest city in Europe. And in my un-air conditioned room, I believed it. "My air conditioner doesn't work," I told the front desk. "Yes it does, but it might be shut off at certain times during the day," was the inaccurate answer.... more

I was accommodated in the Continental for 7 hours, courtesy of Swiss airlines, as my flight from Skopje was delayed for technical reasons.
