I've stayed in Hotel Ani 2 times and it was ok. The staff was spoken perfect English and I paid my accommodation cash. The breakfast was good and the rooms were good. It's very close to the Macedonia Square so the location was ideal. I

Stayed here two nights with spouse. I don't know what previous guests have had to complain about. We had no issues. Limited free parking in front of the hotel. Staff were always friendly and helpful and English spoken quite well. Checked into room 18, a double on the second floor. There's no elevator (as is common in small hotels in... More

During the weekend, avoid rooms with windows to the street, they are very noisy. Breakfast is just ridiculous. There was no vent in the bathroom and a sign "do not throw paper in the toilet please!". This is a bad combination.

I spent one night in this hotel in September 2013. And basically I got what I paid for. Hotel is basic but clean and friendly, so it was OK for me. It is a short walk from the Plostad (main square). Staff were nice and very helpful. Room was just fine with a small basic bathroom. Breakfast was basic as... More

I arrived in Skopje from the airport after midnight and was well received by a helpful receptionist. For the short overnight stay I got all I needed. It was not a modern hotel, but it was a clean room, hot water in the shower, and breakfast included, - all to a very reasonable price. In the morning I had a... More

Arrived at the hotel for our 3 night stay with the taxi that the hotel organised for us - standard price of 20Euros and the driver was waiting for a sign for us - perfect start. Check in was quick and easy. In room 23/24 (top floor) which was a duplex loft room (double bed with loads of space upstairs... More

The room was small and hot. The A/C on the wall turned on but only blew hot air. We checked with reception and they said the machine should have been working but it never did. We asked about changing rooms but they said they were booked- fat chance as they have about 12 rooms and we saw only the people... More

I chose this hotel because a local girl recommended it and the location was relatively central. The people at the reception were nice, and I kind of liked the style of the room. It was in the 2nd floor and had a balcony. After looking a bit closer it was not so good. Relatively clean, though, but very dusty. Three... More

We had read some bad reviews of this hotel, but need not have worried - it was clean, reasonably quiet, and the staff were very friendly. There only seemed to be three young guys manning reception/bar in shifts, but all of them were very smiley and helpful and spoke pretty good English. They do keep your passports during your stay,... We stayed here recently for 1 night as part of a Balkans group tour so reservations were not an issue. Basically this is a budget 1* Hotel (no matter what it's official rating) and, based on our experience, the facilities on offer are certainly no better than this. The room was very basic but clean, the bathroom just adequate. One... More
