We travelled as a family of 10 to St Helena in July/August 2014. Maureen, Stephen and Katy made us feel very welcome in the beautiful Farm Lodge. Nothing was too much trouble and there were always available for help with directions and general information about the island. Maureen's great cooking meant that we all returned from our holiday a few... More

This delightful guest house is just a few miles outside of Jamestown on the beautiful island of Saint Helena. There are only five bedrooms and it is very difficult to secure a reservation when the RMS Saint Helena ship is in port. After staying I now know why. The house itself was previously owned by the East India Company and... More

This hotel is not located in usually hot Jamestown but in the lush country, few miles drive in a place called Rosemary Plain, District St Paul's. It is owned and run by Stephen Biggs and Maureen Jonas, both were catering officers on the Royal Mail Ship ST HELENA which is still the only regular lifeline for this unique island. Being... More

Real gem in the middle of the South Atlantic, we have now been several times for an evening meal and can not fault the food, service and a beautiful setting. We always receive first class services and the fish course is always to die for. Any visitor to St Helena should always ensure that Farm Lodge is on the list... More

As a group of 6 we visited St Helena exploring business opportunities and were most fortunate to be accommodated at the Farm Lodge. Stephen and Maureen were the consummate hosts in this quintessentially "English Country" style farm house guest lodge, catering for our every need with grace, good humor, efficiency and style. The house is full of fine pieces ,... More

We were lucky to secure Farm Lodge for New Years Eve where as always the experience was flawless. Steve and Maureen really do put on a great show, the food being locally grown / reared is as fresh as it comes and cooked to perfection. At midnight Rosemary Plain was roused to Steve (being the oldest) ringing out the old... More

Stephen and Maureen, who run this wonderfully restored East India Company planter’s house (approx. 1750), are impeccable hosts. They spent nine years painstakingly restoring the house with the help of a relative, the attention to detail is incredible with wonderfully polished wooden floors, genuine collector’s pieces including Napoleon’s wine cooler and chaise longue from Longwood and 10 acres of lush,... A really nice place to stay and see some of the country that St Helena has to offer. A legend amongst those that travel on the RMS St Helena

Brilliantly restored original elegance. Accommodation, food and service matches the ambiance, par excellence. Steve and Maureen even grow their own coffee! Nothing is too much trouble and it's just the place to return after a fascinating day out. For me, Farm Lodge really was the icing on St Helena's cake!

Farm Lodge is owned and operated by Steve and Maureen and located in the midst of farm lands in the centre of the island. We arrived in time to enjoy a few drinks on the lawn before the weather drove us to the veranda. Here we spent the pre dinner hours relaxing with Pimms as our companion. Steve was never... More
