I just spent two nights at the Amherst Inn with my two very dear girlfriends and we had the best time . We had the Emily and the Austin room and they can be connected. Tom and Anne were delightful hosts and we were very impressed with everything here. The beds are comfortable, everything is very clean and there is... more

I stayed 3 nights there while I was looking for a housing in Amherst. Allan and Anne, the couple who run the place are very kind and helpful. They help me out by giving me lots of information about the Amherst area, street etc and even drove me to some places. I was really impressed! I highly recommended this place.... more

We loved this from the moment we walked in the doors- cool and quiet, and authentically furnished, and our hosts Anne and Allan where both lovely. Don't expect 'full service'- this is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. However, The rooms were a delight, each its own distinct character, with fabulously comfortable beds, and each with its own small... more

The owners couldn't be warmer, the rooms are clean and charming and the college and town is only a few blocks away. I'm looking forward to many visits as my daughter goes through her college years! more

I loved my two night stay at the Amherst Inn, in Amherst, MA. The innkeepers gave me a choice of rooms: the Cape Cod or the Rossetti? I chose the latter for its warmer, richer tones while regretting not being able to simultaneously take in the fresh sea breezes and the blue of the ocean. Those nights I spent there... more

I just stayed here for a weekend while visiting a friend. It is a beautifully decorated Victorian mansion with a lot of attention to detail. Very charming and perfect for the location. The rooms were clean, the bed extremely comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't think of a single thing to criticize. I... more

the house is furnished in a tasteful period style. I enjoyed the other travelers at breakfast, and there was a relaxed library/entertainment room and wireless access. cookies and tea were available in the dining room (and little candy dishes scattered around :). it's across the road from Emily Dickinson's house with nice local walking... and (my personal destination) the english... more

I came to Amherst to visit the Emily Dickinson House. Staying across the street from her home was delightful and our room had a birdseye view. The inn was very clean, beautifully appointed with antiques and gorgous stenciling (for which the innkeeper created herself. The breakfast was totally delicious. The eggs were the best I ever had. I hope to... more

I stayed with my significant other, we can not say enough about the beauty and quietness of this Victorian Mansion, beautiful rooms and decoration, wallpapers to dream of and the furniture all original from that era. Our bed was very comfortable and the room had great illumination, in the morning we went for a walk and saw the Emily Dickinson... more
