This was our first trip to a B&B together, and it was a very impromptu stay on one of the biggest homecoming weekends for the surrounding colleges. We were incredibly lucky to secure a room, Napoleon's room! Very spacious, comfortable bed, private bath, electric fire place. Very very reasonable room rate, actually cheaper than some of the chain hotels/motels in... More

What started off as a not so pleasant experience, worked out well in the end. We went to the Amherst Inn for only one night to attend an event in Amherst. I booked into the Turret room as suggested by the proprietor, and on a subsequent call was told it was in the Allen house, down the road from the... More

So happy that I took the time to relax and enjoy a great get away weekend this fall with the gracious hostess and staff at the Amherst Inn. This delightful inn features a remarkable room with a perfectly hand stenciled border called the Lion's Den,where I got to unwind and go back to the days of Emily Dickinson who once... More

I was dropping off my daughter to college and stayed here for a few days. It was spectacular. There were many beautiful trees on the property. It was set off the beaten path. The house is huge and has lots of new england charm. The staff was great and very nice. It truly felt like home. The breakfast was really... More

We stayed at the Amherst Inn for a college visit for our son. The rooms were fabulous and the service exceptional. Breakfast was delicious! Finally, I left a small, valuable item in the room, and the staff immediately found it and sent it priority mail to my home. We will definitely stay at the Amherst Inn the next time we... More

My husband, son and I stayed one night in February on the way to visit Umass at Amherst. We arrived late on a cold, rainy evening after having stayed at sub-par hotel in Boston where we visited many other colleges. Upon entering the inn we knew we would love it and wished we could have stayed longer. It felt like... More

I recently returned to the Amherst Inn for my third stay there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ann and her staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The location is perfect for exploring the shops, restaurants, and college campus of Amherst. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Owner Ann at the Amherst Inn deserves credit, once again, for hosting our large group for its annual board meeting. The meetings at the Inn were comfortable and the setting much more intimate and congenial than that of a corporate hotel setting. We thank Ann for going out of her way for all of us to accommodate special requests for... More

Amherst Inn and Allen house are owned by the same family. I stayed at the Amherst Inn on Main Street close to several great shops and restaurants. My room had a queen bed that was über comfy and a priority to me. The room was near the kitchen so very loud starting at 7:00 am. The breakfast was ho hum.... More

We drove to Amherst to get together with family and the Amherst Inn was recommended to us. The recommendation could not have been more accurate! Beautiful, immaculate, well appointed rooms. Pam and Anne were unfailingly attentive to our every comfort and need. Breakfast was delicious! Many things to do and see in the area as well. We will definitely be... More
